I downloaded the rift breaker demo and FSR works on my Nvidia gtx 970!

There's a YouTube video in Russian where he tests a couple of games with the 970 using FSR, (nearly) free performance win win for me!!

Hawt.

Also free is free :3

Yeah it part of why FSR is getting the praise that it is. It's a decent up-scaler and it works on just about everything.

*edit*
Pro-tip you can also layer sharpening filters on top. So if you have a Radeon you can use RIS from the drivers and with nVidia you can use FreeStyle shaders.

HW Unboxed said they already have a sharpening pass with FSR but extra sharpening could be coo if done in moderation mebbe.

Needs moar games to test to see.

Fwiw

FreeStyle:

Not all games can use the FreeStyle filters, the game has to be supported by Nvidia, but the list is quite large. There is filter named, Details, and has four separate sliders which are Sharpen, Clarity, Hdr Toning and Bloom.

There is the, Sharpen filter which has two sliders, Intensity and Ignore Film grain.

This one was just released with the latest drivers and my favorite one, Sharpen +, and has two sliders, Intensity and my favorite part, Texture Detail slider.

Control Panel:

There is a setting, Image Sharpening, which has two sliders, Sharpen and Ignore Film Grain

Then there is a third party tool, ReShade that has a tremendous amount of tweaks, including filters that sharpen.

nVidia's Freestyle is Reshade simplified and made for nVidia. You can actually use ReShade filters in Freestyle because of this.

I think Crosire, the creator of Reshade works for Nvidia.

If I need a bit of sharpening, and desire efficiency, use the Control Panel.

If I am playing a FreeStyle supported game, use the Sharpen + filter if I have plenty of framerate to spare.

If I am playing a title like Supreme Commander 2 or a title that is not on the FreeStyle list, use a Reshade sharpening filter.

My favorite is the Sharpen + filter in FreeStyle.

Remember a posting conversation with Timothy Lottes, the creator of Nvidia's Fxaa and Txaa, and asked him, if Nvidia likes tools like Sweet Fx? You get the robot like response, we can't discuss future products or features, but he did offer, we're looking into it.

Some guy just created a mod for GTAV to run FSR. Its so easy and quick to do but is probably gonna need some work top get to run properly.
