Anyone get their eyes lasered?

Been pondering on whether to get relex smile before time runs out (im 34 now, and from what I'm told im getting to the age where the hardening of the eyes starts to become a potential issue). I wear glasses due to having astigmatism, would be nice to do without them for sports and the like. Still... it is kinda an irreversible thing, and potential for starbursts/watering eyes is possible.

Best money I've ever spend on myself.

I wish I had it done earlier.

I didn't have dryness issues and I had great luck with the starburst thing.

I also had it done at an eye clinic here in Oklahoma by a licensed Ophthalmologist that specialized in corrective eye surgery.

EDIT: It was a little more expensive but worth every penny.

I echo the above remark. I wore glasses for almost 40 years. I was terrified about having something done to my eyes, but I did it about 8 years ago, and like the person before, best money I've ever spent and wish I had done it sooner. Because of my age, they under corrected one eye so I have one eye perfect for distance and one eye perfect for reading. So I will never need distance glasses or reading glasses. It did take my brain about 2 years to get used to the difference. I don't have any dry eyes, but I do prefer wearing glasses when I'm driving at night. One lens is just plain glass, and one is just a minor correction. It is not absolutely necessary, it is just a little bit of extra help.

All of the above, except it was Kansas. Did it a little over 20 years ago (LASIK). I was 20/15 afterwards and unfortunately it was only 20/20 the last time it was checked.

didn't they used to cut your eyes open with a blade as part of the procedure?
probably for the better that you got it now instead of in the past with all the technological advances and such.

I had PRK. Lasick cuts your epithelium and flaps it back. With the flap there is a chance that it can come back open like in a car wreck or other shock. PRK dissolves the epithelium and lets it grow back. It's a longer recovery time but there is no flap.

i have astigmatism and dry eye with short sightedness and i heard its difficult for those with that to get laser
