ATI AIW Rage Fury 128 Pro AGP - TV Failed to Initialize (WIN XP SP2)

Hello all, new to this forum. My daughter has a video project due the day after tomorrow, and I am at wits end trying to figure out this problem.

I've had this computer (AMD1400 4.5 GB PC 133 mem, iWill KK266 MB) and video card working for several years now. Last year, I finally upgraded from Win2K to WinXP SP2. I haven't had a need to use the TV Tuner since then, until now.
Now when I try to start the TV tuner, I get the following error: "The TV player Failed to initialize the video. Ensure the correct video drivers have been installed and close any applications which may be playing video..."

When I upgraded to XP, I couldn't find my original ATI disc, so I downloaded the drivers from their site.

Does anyone know of anything that I can try to correct this problem? All I want to do is connect a camcorder to my video cards input dongle so I can edit her video.

THanks in advance,
David

Uninstall all ATI software, and reinstall them. Reboot after installing each software. Driver first, then MMC.

Thanks. I will try that. I can't find my original ATI CD, so should I install 7.2 MMC or one of the newer versions? THis is an old video card.

Download and install whatever ATI suggests at www.ati.com
I believe that MMC 7.2 is recommended.
Others have gotten newer versions to work, in case you were wondering.
For now, go with 7.2

Well, I found out what was causing my TV from working. I use Ultra VNC to connect in to my home computer from work. The service uses a video Hook driver that ties up the dll that the TV tuner tries to use.
