Best CPUs of 2021 (Gaming, Workstation, Budget, & Disappointment)

I think having 5900X still be in the top of the charts only behind by 1-3% really shows that going Alder Lake has no benefit in games.

If the new AMD refresh beats ADL in gaming I will for sure buy it when available. I also hope they don’t pass 1.45 volts to that CPU to achieve that performance. :rolleyes:
 
5800x/5900x were great all round buys. ADL is a good ~15% faster depending on the title though.

This 11900k on the other hand should have been called an i7. It's a strange beast, ranging anywhere from OC'd 10700k to well over 5900x performance depending on the game. And it's not intuitive, it does well in games I wouldn't expect it to, and falters in others where I thought it would be great. That said I really like it and the platform a lot, it was just over priced.
