Big SEGA news story incoming - gotta wait for June 4

Very strange. Pretty mundane. A Saturn mini would have been infinitely more interesting than this...

thats an awful first announcement.....USB stick sized handheld based on a handheld?

4 different colors, 4 different games in each.....

edit: all signs are pointing towards the big announcement as "fog gaming", some kind of cloud gaming service using arcade machines.....

I thought it was a piece of garbage before I knew there was ONLY 4 games on each system...

what absolute trash! This kind of stuff pisses me off because its useless garbage that'll wind up in landfill pretty soon. What a waste of resources

Some people have speculated that this might be a response to the covid19 stuff, as arcades are closed and will likely stay underutilized for a long time to come.

Yeah in a age of trying to reduce waste this seems pretty poor even by SEGA's standard.

4 games is just a huge wtf, you're paying so much for a machine that is WAY too small, and ontop of it, you can buy a ****ing magnifier.

I really don't get SEGA, I loved the mega-drive/genesis when I was young, but holy **** SEGA has to be one of the worst companies that somehow is still going. I'd wager pachinko is one of the few reasons they haven't folded yet.

If it wasn't for Total War, Sonic Mania and Alien Isolation, I'd say they're useless, but even those are western developers.

Don't forget the Yakuza series. Also pretty sweet :)

Anyway, from my understanding... SEGA has links to orginzed crime and as such they are not exactly a company anyone really wants to get deeply involved with in Japan.
