Bowser is taking over Nintendo ... for real

One problem I've always had with Nintendo is how NoA is really only a marketing & localization arm. NoA really makes no decisions about games or hardware, as far as I can tell. Reggie was good at his job, but it always bothered me how happy he seemed to stay in his place.

I'd love to see NoA operate more like Sega of America during the 90s, offering rich creative feedback on Japanese games, and also running many American studios as well. Heck, that's the recipe for Sony's success as well. They have Japanese, American, & European offices, each with their own budgets and development studios. It ensures that there's always interesting games coming out, from multiple perspectives. I really feel like Nintendo's refusal to empower their other offices is a major weakness for them.
