Console Gaming is dead

Well, at least this forum. No posts in nearly 10 days, and only 4 threads showing up in the last 30. Heck, there's more sticky threads than active threads.

Where is everybody? Just waiting for e3?

No very interesting releases, most are PC gamers, lots of stuff to discuss on PC front (mostly Epic vs Steam), no new consoles... I wouldn't mind if the two boards are combined into one Gaming board. The time that the two were so vastly different, is long behind us, at least for the people posting on Rage3D.

Admittedly, its surprisingly to think there would be many console related posts here at all given its a PC hardware based forum.

Days Gone is out on PS4 pretty soon, and I've been waiting a long time for that one. Should be good. Most everything else is out on PC.

Beyond that...I've got nothing until Last of Us 2 is out. Yeah. :bleh:

The whole forum in general is slowing down more than usual. Not looking good.

Yes not much to play on consoles these days. Will wait for Days Gone review before I buy it.

Save for Nintendo and Sony exclusive titles, pretty much everything is on the PC and the console/PC discussions have pretty much merged in the PC section.

Maybe the forum needs a section for mobile games.
Every post gets you 10 gems in the most popular predatory game!

I'd like to have a subforum dedicated to Super Meat Boy. I can talk about that all day long. Can we do that?

It came from the big WTF! when I saw it said you were playing BLOPS4 on PS4.
Actually that's my son. I haven't played BLOPS4 in maybe 3 months or something. He is very good at quick scoping nubs and running around with money bag to do melee kills lol.

I see you online there all the time lol

The "problem" with consoles is... I have a feeling (haven't checked the stats) that we are getting more quality over quantity. Older generation consoles felt like there were fairly high quality games coming out coooooooonstantly.

Right now it feels like we are getting fewer but far higher quality games (esp Nintendo/Sony).

Xbox is just screwed though and I think their multiplatform/streaming strategy has a high potential to backfire espectacularly. They would be diluting the few brands they can barely leverage (Halo, Gears, Forza) into multiple platforms, turning the Xbox brand into a 3rd rate publisher instead of an actual platform. It is analogous to what Netflix is going through (which is likely a timebomb) but worse because Xbox doesn't even have the throughput nor quality to put out original content.

It could work out...but I doubt it.
