My first thought was of Bastion when I heard that. Plenty of other games have done similar; Child of Light and Juggler's Tale spring to mind.

Bright environs, colorful, music that's upbeat not dark and brooding, etc. Just trying for a different feel.

Looking more spritely and agile then Elden Ring from the gameplay video.

Honestly I strongly prefer "brighter" games over dark moodier games. I'd way rather spend time in Far Cry than Doom 3, UT2004 over UT3, etc. If I'm going to spend alot of time there, I'd like it to be a pleasant experience.

No, saw several instances of the character interrupting crossbow shots (long) and one of him rolling under a boss's horizontal slash.
