EVGA will no longer make video cards

Hasn't apple shown that arm can hang with the big boys if you do it right?

They could do a lot with their ARM license that they use for ai/servers... They dont need to own ARM anymore than AMD needed to own x86. Would take a chunk of cash to go for it but I wouldnt be surprised if they did.

i've still got a EVGA RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA GAMING sitting in my living room unopened for my sisters build i haven't had time to put together :bleh:

It seems these are becoming collectors editions?

EVGA has very low stock available for new cards on their website. I don't see them replenishing that either.

They're withholding stock for future RMAs. Not much they can do as they had already seized (ceased?) production.

I didn't know they had been offering a 10 year extended warranty for their viddy cards only a few months ago. Steve mentioned it in his latest video, but how do you plan backstock for a 10 year guarantee?

they are not

they said if you got it recently you can get a refund

and i think as long as they have replacement cards or parts for the others they will do it

after that or if they go out of business .... you are just SOL

and i just put my sisters new system together last night and got it running with a new EVGA 3080 ti
hope it lasts 3 years :bleh:

I don't know what to do about the extended warranties? Although you can request a refund, I feel like the ball really should be in EVGA's court. If they know they aren't going to be able to honor them then they should do a blanket refund themselves.

Clearly for ten year warranty I'd request a refund. Although, frankly, ten year warranty was a questionable buy to start with. After ten years the card will be so slow that it won't be of much use anyway.

What less clear to me is what to do with a five year warranty, which I have on my cards. That's not so long it's inconceivable that they would honor it (especially since it's more like 3.5 and 4 years now). Also, how long is "recently" for having gotten a warranty? My extended warranties were purchased over a year ago.

Honestly, I'm probably just going to let it go and we'll see if the card breaks in four years whether they cover it. It only cost around $20, and it's unlikely that it ever even comes into play anyway.
