Going on now for 6th year! I hope it has helped you as it helped me keeping my backlogs in check while enjoying my games.

Not every month someone will be finishing a lot, as there are months where a person just can't finish anything. Then you got that streak going in another month.

Also, if you plan to replay the game, it is fine but don't repeat it at a later month as first completion is what counts.

Another thing is the criteria of what is considered completed in unclear games such as team based multiplayer games; I would say set a target for that. E.g. I considered Overwatch completed when I reached level 100. Or when I finished story mode (which was a long movie sequence) in Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator. You decide what you consider is completed as long as it is reasonable to a certain extend and correlate-able to a single player experience.

DLC completed at a separate time from the main game and has enough content (+1 hour) can be counted as a separate completion.

Console completions can be accepted as long as the main focus is still PC overall.

Apologies again for delayed post. Somehow went from August 1st to 11th instantly. Time flies like crazy. No new finished. Diablo 4 Season 1 happened.

Thanks as always for doing this MNB4800. And no problems about the wait. I know how time can get away from you sometimes.

Six this month though nothing special and two were quite short;
Costume Quest 2
Supraland Six Inches Under
Conspiracy and Rivals - Two short research games by the same author.
Burnhouse Lane - Decent horror P'n'C. I've follwed the designer for some times and this is their most polished game but suffers from a strong sense of deja vu.
Mundaun - Some nice ideas but fell a bit flat due to poor execution.

4 for me

Last of Us
Last of Us Left Behind
Callisto Protocol
Callisto Protocol Last Transmission

Not a bad month. Also spent a bunch of time in SF6 and D4 plus occasional rounds of MW2. Pumping Uncharted 4 as well and now Quake 2.

1 for me.

BeamNG.drive - Kids have been watching YouTube videos of this one so I picked it up while it was on sale; two copies. Still in early access but the devs don't seem keen on finishing it, just adding more content. I considered it finished when I got all the achievements. The rest of the game is a sandbox. The kids have since completely lost interest.

August is going to be a better month. Already have a couple of defeats under my belt.

Only one last month and it was Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice which has become the new gold standard of action games for me.

Tell me about it, I lost 3 weeks somewhere.
Hope I find them if I get vacation time this year. :)

Yet another ZERO month. Not even anything started.

3 games:

Uncharted 4
Uncharted: Lost Legacy
And the House of the Dead 1 remake, I really with these games had VR support, VR controllers are perfect for light gun games.

3 Games beaten in July!

Subnautica: Below Zero
Mafia: Definitive Edition
Final Fantasy IV (Pixel Remaster)

I've gotten back to going through the entire Final Fantasy series, so currently playing Final Fantasy VI. Beat FFV for August. FF7 is up next, then maybe take a break for Baldurs Gate 3.

2 games for me:

Ty The Tasmanian Tiger
Days Gone

Felt like a little platforming, and the Playstation games are awesome. So far, finished Horizon: Zero Dawn and Days Gone. Working on God Of War now. Started playing Monster Hunter World a ways back, just can't get into that one.

3 for me (sorry for the delay)

OXENFREE II: Lost Signals, Stasis: Bone Totem, Star Trek: Resurgence

Sorry, I checked early in the month and did not check back when this was finally posted.

For July I had four:

Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion Expansion - This was a pretty good expansion and definitely worth buying if you enjoyed the main game. Although pretty much just more of the same, it did have some more interesting mission variations. The new DLC characters were also interesting, although I don't know how well balanced they were. It could be from being late in the game and having access to a lot of items, but the Demolitionist could be built to be really OP. Meanwhile the Void Warden was under-powered and clunky to play and some of his powers were also buggy and didn't consistently work right. With that being said, character balance in the base game is not perfect either, so this was not necessarily outside the norm. There was also one quite challenging mission toward the end which required bringing my Doomstalker out of retirement instead of using the Void Warden. If a party happened to be made up of weaker characters, I can see that mission as being very challenging, or possibly impossible to beat.

Ghost Recon Wildlands: This was a really good game, especially playing co-op. The map was just huge, with so many different environments. Even though it came out in 2016, on ultra settings it still looks better than games that came out years later. The tactical game play was really good. It was definitely beneficial to be stealthy and plan your attacks, try to eliminate targets with sync shots, etc. The writing and story was also pretty well done, and you had a lot of content if you took out everyone for the "good ending". Definitely a top tier game that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys shooters. Only disappointment was the Predator mission was time limited and removed from the game. :(

The Solus Project (VR) - Back when VR first came out this was one of the early stand-outs, being a flat screen game converted to VR. It was a decent game, but one of those that ended up being too long and overstaying its welcome. If you play it I recommend being focused on just going after the objectives and not bothering with any optional exploration or being completionist about finding all the documents. You don't need all of them to get the jist of what was going on and the experience will be better if you finish in 10-15 hours instead of 20 hours that it took me to complete it. Graphics were also fairly mediocre, especially considering that the game had relatively poor performance (one reason that I kept waiting to play it). For anyone looking for a VR game to play I give it a soft recommend. For flat screen there are so many good games out there I'd probably just suggest passing. If I were to rate it I'd probably give it a 6/10.

Budget Cuts (VR) - This was another super hyped VR title back in the day. I remember when the demo came out everyone was going crazy for it and I was strongly looking forward to the game's release, and even bought it not too long afterwards. But then for some reason I never ended up playing it. Anyway, this is a game I definitely do recommend. It is only about 4-6 hours long, but it was solid fun during those hours. The only thing to watch out for is the game does not hold your hand and at points you can end up missing something and just being confused. The way to beat the end boss was not super intuitive either, as it relied on game mechanics that hadn't really been used earlier in the game. If you're ever stumped for more than 15 minutes I recommend just checking an FAQ. All the same it was still a solid 8/10 experience.
