Going on now for 6th year! I hope it has helped you as it helped me keeping my backlogs in check while enjoying my games.

Not every month someone will be finishing a lot, as there are months where a person just can't finish anything. Then you got that streak going in another month.

Also, if you plan to replay the game, it is fine but don't repeat it at a later month as first completion is what counts.

Another thing is the criteria of what is considered completed in unclear games such as team based multiplayer games; I would say set a target for that. E.g. I considered Overwatch completed when I reached level 100. Or when I finished story mode (which was a long movie sequence) in Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator. You decide what you consider is completed as long as it is reasonable to a certain extend and correlate-able to a single player experience.

DLC completed at a separate time from the main game and has enough content (+1 hour) can be counted as a separate completion.

Console completions can be accepted as long as the main focus is still PC overall.

Completed Games:
728-Resident Evil 4 (Remake): Separate Ways DLC

Hello all! Apologies again! It has been a crazy month. IRL Work, travel, responsibilities. Still managed to squeeze in some gaming. Spent most of it playing Diablo 4 Season 2 and also the following:

728-Resident Evil 4 (Remake): Separate Ways DLC: The best RE DLC by far. It is lengthy, full of content and fills in some RE4 gaps. It was so good that I replayed it. Never recall doing that for a DLC.

None for me in October. Not because I was spending less time gaming, but because RDR2 is a massive, massive game. I've finished it now, but hadn't last month.

Four for me;
Underground Blossom - Latest of the Rusty Lake games. Not too long or challenging.
Carrier Command 2 - Should have been much better. Too many issues with pacing, balance and simply not much fun.
Willy Morgan and the Curse of Bone Tone - Workmanlike point and click.
Brookhaven Experiment - Only ten hours but it took me five years. Twice I got stuck on a level and didn't come back to it for a while. Fun VR shooter overall though.

Thanks MNB4800 for keeping this updated! It genuinely helps to keep me focused on the good games through completion.

2 for me.

Just Cause 4 - Not the reloaded version, but the OG that was free on Epic Games. Not sure why it got such negative reviews. The game is good. Just Cause has always been a just 'cause franchise to me, and it's about the world you get to play in more than it is about gameplay structure. Looking at reviews on Steam it seems a lot are upset that they took away the jet powered wing suit. I hated the jet powered wing suit in 3. Another complaint is that making explodey time doesn't accomplish campaign goals like it does in previous games, but I think that is okay too. The ability to add a jet flare or a lifting balloon to any object kept my kids entertained for many weekends. Game has been installed for 3 years or something and I finally focused on finishing it on the 30th.

Phantom Liberty DLC - I was underwhelmed by the story/characters but did appreciate the tighter focus on a single narrative, and that choices during this will actually have largely different outcomes. The new Gigs are good but Dogtown as an area of exploration is uninteresting. At some point I wasn't able to upgrade any weapon except for the Tier 5+ to Tier 5++ (for instance if I saw a really high spec Tier 4 weapon and wanted to upgrade it to Tier 5++, I couldn't). Seems to be a bug that only affects me, or it's by design for some reason.

6 for me

Cocoon*, Assassin's Creed Mirage, Viewfinder, The Talos Principle 2, Forza Motorsport, Alan Wake 2

Talos 2 was exceptional. Ass Mirage, Cocoon, Viewfinder were pretty good fun and worth playing. Forza Brokensport and Alan Snooze 2 are some of the most overrated games I've ever played. Sadly Forza had a progression issue so I spent 8+ more hours playing that than I needed.

2421 games! Slightly misleading as some are multiple entries, three seasons of Sam & Max show as 16 entries, Civ 4 likewise counts expansions as individual titles. Add to that a bunch of bundles where I didn't actually want some of the games but it was still cheaper to buy a pack.
Against that of course I also have Epic, EA, Ubi etc.
Still, according to Backloggery.com my completion is about 72%

You completed 2421 games? Do you speed run games?:runaway:I only have 103 game and growing but it feeling like it'll take 2years to finish half of it.

Well, 72% would be closer to 1740 though again, many titles in my inventory don't reall count toward the total. That said, my tally at the top of the page is 596 games in 6 years so over my lifetime...

No games this month again (and November isn't looking good).

2,995 games on steam plus 500 or so on other platforms & CD/DVD.
At this rate the sun will go nova before I finish.

One game.

Generation Zero: Interesting premise and the atmosphere was pretty interesting. It's set in Sweden where a strange robot force has taken over and most of the population is missing. I was playing it co-op with 3 friends, which I think added to the experience. At first I really liked it and found the mystery interesting, however as the game went on I became less enamored with it. The combat was really fun, but the story ended up being kind of weak. The ending was a pretty big letdown to me. The biggest issue I had with it is you don't meet almost any other people, so the whole world just felt abandoned. There was some justification for it in the plot, but it still felt like a missed opportunity to have a group of humans fighting against the bots. At first you were working with a couple of NPCs, but as the game went on they kind of just disappeared from the picture and you were on your own. There were also two robot factions and the explanation for them was ultimately never really provided (as far as I found). On the whole it was a good concept but fairly lackluster delivery. On the whole I give it a 6/10. I give it a recommendation if you're looking for a co-op game, but there are better single player games out there.
