Decided on the Honor 8, at $250 I couldn't say no. Received today and have been slowly moving stuff over.
Given I spend a ton of time in my car, I've noticed that my stereo is kinda cranky with Android vs iOS. I need to pick the playlist on my phone first then I can navigate through it with the steering wheel or stereo controls. Problem is it stays on just that list, is this a sign of I need to avoid my playlists when plugged in and just stick with the 'local music' section in the Music app? Surprisingly the stereo doesn't allow me to get to the playlist selection which I think is a limitation of the format of the phone vs using an SD card.
Question aside: Big screen, is very pretty. Went with blue just because and in light it's lovely, in lower light it looks pretty bland. Front and back glass makes it pretty slick so I plan to get a nice case for it, preferably soft because I'm a klutz. Debating how I like EMUI. I really enjoy having a version of Swype back, having to tap each character was a pain especially on a 4" screen. Getting used to different settings again, and looking for themes because I can customize stuff again.
So far things are good.
