Creed and Madonna were atop the music charts, and Charlie's Angels and the Legend of Bagger Vance were at the movies.
 
Back then the 9700 Pro was still all the rage. :bleh: And I was still obsessed with playing various games based on the Quake III engine. Some of those games are still among my all time favorites.

I had one of those too. Then kept it in storage for years, and sold it for $20 and almost all of my old video cards a couple of years ago. I think I got $40 for my old 9700 Pro.

Noone knows what REAL "AMD/ATI Drivers suck ass" means unless they've experienced early Rage 3D Pro (Turbo) GPU with first ever OpenGL drivers that had 3D acceleration run slower than software acceleration.
