Has anyone managed to get Remote Wonder to work on Vista?

I have a Remote Wonder 1, and the current XP drivers (3.04) don't work in Vista. :(

Has ATI any plans to release Vista drivers for this remote? Or is there any workaround to get the RW working in Vista?

I didn't realize that there were no working RW drivers for Vista. Yet another reason to put off upgrading to it for me. What on earth has AMD been waiting for seeing how Vista has been under development for 5 years, its final release date has been known for a year and the release version was frozen several months ago? It's like they're asleep over there. They have really been dropping the ball on Vista.

ATI has finally released the official remote wonder driver for Vista 10-18-07

Thanks for the heads up, nice find! It says the following though:

Remote Control Software for Catalyst™ Media Center and Windows Vista Media Center (limited functionality)

File Size: 1.9MB
Version: 1.0
Date Posted: Oct 18 , 2007
Package Includes: Remote Control Driver Support for Catalyst™ Media Center build 1.0.3202 and higher.

The “limited functionality” concerns me a bit but perhaps they are simply referring to the remote wonder lines inability to control a set top box directly via an “IR Blaster”.

I’ll bet this is whatever is shipping with the new 600 line of tuners and the 650 combo USB / PCIe (possibly PCI versions as well although there is nothing new about them seemingly). The version of CMC shipping with these new cards is indeed v1.0.3202.

I didn't notice that "Limited Functionality" but hopefully you're correct about the "IR Blaster".

I haven't tried it yet, I took my ATI card out and used another that had remote capability's.

As soon as I swap them out Ill post about the Remote Wonder Plus functionality.

Great,…

I look forward to hearing about it.

What application are you using though, Catalyst Media Center , Media Center Edition or Vista Media Center?

You might not need to swap out cards,...just for the remote test,...

What I did with my Remote Wonder Plus is install 3.04 XP drivers and software. The driver failed to load. Next, I updated the driver allowing Windows to find the drivers. :)

Has anyone figured out how to get the circular keypad mouse controller on the remote wonder to function under Vista?

I tried the ATI drivers and many keys work but not the mouse keys.

Im Woundering too how to get the circular keypad mouse controller to work in vista. The keypad works fine and is there any plugin for winamp like the old remctrl in windows xp for vista?

I have been unable to get the circle keypad/mouse to function in Vista. The main buttons (Play, Stop, Pause, Volume) work fine but functionality is definitely lacking. ATI seems to have really dropped support for these things in Vista and it's a shame...

I managed to get to work mouse pad and rw's full functionality under Vista.

But the problem is I installed several apps, so I don't know how to reproduce the solution. :hmm:

My final steps was: I installed http://software.x10.com/pub/applications/drivers/x10drivers.exe
and after that I installed the ATI RW 3.04 english driver, the program loaded and everything worked fine.

Before that I tried the official limited functionality driver, an other X10 driver, and RW 1.4 drivers.
