Coming out on November 20 for Switch. Something to whet your appetite while they continue to work on Breath of the Wild 2.

Takes place 100 years prior to Breath of the Wild. New stories and cutscenes. Arenas encompassing the entire BOTW map and with lots of familiar characters and enemies. Sure, it's a fighting game, but it's a Zelda fighting game. A Zelda Breath of the Wild fighting game. :drool:

Its more like a Dynasty Warriors style game though right? Not a true Zelda game.

I've got the first Hyrule Warriors on Wii U but never actually played it. I've heard good things but I don't think its really for me.

Its a dynasty warriors style game but unlike Hyrule Warriors this one is an actual prequal to BotW (100 years before BotW) with input from the Zelda team.

No ones talking about this because its a Switch game.....:bleh:

That's cool, but still meh. Gameplay is king for me and takes priority.

I'll just keep waiting for BotW 2.
 
It's an official prequel with a story, though with a fighting style I may or may not like (haven't played any of the previous Hyrule Warriors games), but it's something.
 
Im actually finding it very funny that Nintendo has influenced the artstyle of current generation "cell shaded" style games with BotW.

Nintendo got shat on for the Wind Waker cell shading style, but then cell shading became pretty popular art style.

Breath of the Wild comes out with a different cell shading art style, and now theres a bunch of games coming that are using the same artstyle/cell shading and the first thing you think is that its a botw clone:

Genshin Impact
Windbound
Fenix Rising
Monster Hunter Stories 2

Sony and MS are pushing technology, Nintendo keeps pushing style.
