Just finished Days Gone

g-a-m-e

oh yeah
61 hours and not bored for a second.
Well maybe for 10 minutes, walking around in some flashback with the ex-wife

The story is long, and there's loads of side stuff to do.
The quests and side quests are perfectly paced.
I finished a whole lot of "100%" things, while not even specifically going for them (clear all camps shit like that). Just because it was fun.

It looks pretty good if you super sample the **** out of the resolution in the graphic settings.

Really if you're in for a cheap game to sink some time in i definitely recommend

Finished the campaign and some side stuff, just like you, at around the same time mark. I was frequently bored though. The pacing in the middle is terrible, the quests are too often far too void of meaningful interaction, there's a ton of riding to and from the same points (so, inevitably, over the same roads or skipped by fast travel), the story doesn't set its beats very well... Still a really cool game though, because the core gameplay loop is solid. For its current Steam price (a little over €16), it's a good deal.

I finished the game in 25 hours and never did the sides. Game was boring af most of the time.

I thought the game was phenomenal. Loved a large majority of it. Played it on PS5 though; part of the "free games for PS5" thing

I played about 30 minutes, not sure I can keep going. Seems like another of those 40% game, 60% movie.

Ugh, felt that too in the opening stages. Gets much better when you're about one or two hours in.

I'm reading this game is extremely impressive on PC, true? I don't quite get the gameplay, what's it like?

I enjoyed it enough that I finished it on PS4 when it came out and have recently finished it on PC. A lot easier with KB&M for me, makes aiming much more precise. I even found riding the bike a lot easier, I was regularly having to repair it when playing with a controller :bleh:

From what I remember when it came out initially it scored in the 70's and that's a fair score, it's a bit dumb but if you like post apocalyptic stories and don't expect an earth shattering gameplay loop you'll probably enjoy it.

Extremely impressive how? Graphically it's pretty cool, and the moment-to-moment gameplay is cool too. Think third person action game, but in an open world.

I liked it well enough, but the campaign's pacing lets it down. A 7/10 or 8/10, depending on personal preference.
