Up to now and for more than 3 years I am using a x800pro vivo with cat 6.3 and WDM SP THIS setup allows me to have live video input WITH NO DELAY in my pc monitor and do LIVE video capture WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY IN MY WORK as I also use the video in to control the unit that does video comes from.....
Unfortunately these kind of radeons (x800) seem to be obsolete and weak!
So my question:
DOES ANYONE FROM THE FORUM USE ANY OTHER LATER RADEON LIKE 1800VIVO OR 1900 VIVO OR 2900 VIVO THAT CAN DO VIDEO CAPTURE WITH NO DELAY?
AND IF YES WHICH IS THE EXACT MMC CATALYST VERSION AND WDM VERSION THAT DOES WORK?
ONE MORE QUESTION: DO THE NEW UNIFIED 200 DRIVER HAS FIXED THIS VIDEO IN DELAY so we don't need any more the old WDM SP drivers?
Yesterday I replaced my old X800 VIVO with a x1800vivo. Although that rd the RAGE theatre 200 is present in both cards and although that both used the same catalyst 6.3 version. the 1800VIVO couldn't work with THE WDM SP DRIVERS AND USED THE WDM NSP>VIDEO DELAY!!!! Reverting to WDM SP MANUALLY DIDN'T WORK AS MMC 9.08 FAILED TO OPEN THE VIDEO IN WINDOW.....

I don't have an answer to your actual question about if T200 currently has a lag or not. But I am responding to the later part of what you wrote. Since you already have the x1800 in hand (as you have already partially discoved, it will not work with the SP or NSP or MMC 9.09 or below - AFAIK.
Among the cards I have is an ATI All-In-Wonder X800 XL (PCI-E version) and this was the first card that AFAIK REQUIRED the T200 Unified Drivers and so far despite my lengthy efforts to the contrary will not correctly install or use (SP or NSP driver). And therefore it requires MMC 9.1# to work correctly. I can get it to only PARTIALLY work with MMC 9.09 (but more than 10 of the stations are B&W with no sound and others have so much static that they are un-watchable (un-listenable too).

So the X1800 is going to require you to use T200 WDM drivers...so my suggestion is to use the last version of Catalyst that will support that card the Catalyst 9.3 (you can't use 9.4, 9.5, 9.6 etc) because support for those older cards is only going to be sporadic for security at this point. I would then pair it with MMC 9.16 if you need a version of MMC. ((Then since you already have the card in your possesion you can test it and see if and if so what amount of lag there is.))

You can of course use whatever software package you want that supports the x1800 you don't have to use MMC (which i'm sure you are aware of) but it isn't going to change the lag issue.

(Sorry I don't have the lag issue answer for you).
Also YOU MIGHT be able to get ahold of the user: GROG (Greg) on this site because there is the program (graph edit ) that may allow you a way to get it without the lag... (I have no idea - if the X1800 can do that or not) so see if you can contract GROG He's on this and a few other similar sites. Or look at the thread they have going on this site about Graph Edit. There's also an archived thread on AVSforum about it that he was on so you might find him over there.

Thread about Graph Edit you can read it and / or find Grog on there and see if he'll answer you or post in that thread etc.

CMC will work with whatever you've got, including the old rage chips, as long as you install t200 drivers. If you want MMC, using an older chip/card with Rage drivers, that will work too, in XP, but you've got to find an old version of MMC. If you want to try & mate a Rage chip & t200 drivers with MMC in XP, maybe 1 or 2 versions out of a dozen or so may work OK, & after a registry change should do real time. If you want to use a theater chip & t200 drivers with MMC in XP, the download version of MMC should be OK. Note that to install CMC or MMC may require having specific hardware installed to pass installation hardware checking. Also note that ATI doesn't have CMC available AFAIK for download. Finally, either old or new chips, using either Rage or t200 drivers (whichever applies), you can capture &/or view TV signals in other apps besides MMC & CMC, many without any delays in display or recording.

So, at any rate those are the combos... You may find it cheaper &/or easier to just add a TV card rather than running the X1800, but that's up to you.
