:p i been playing star wars pod racer and with the latest line of graphic cards it looks and plays amazing with the resolution cranked to the max, i swear its one of the best looking games i ever played:p it used to be kinda shitty wat back when i had a savage card

I just played throughit all the way finally (thank you Logitech, Wingman Rumble Pad, better for control then a full sized Wingman Force). The graphics quality isn't all that great low polys and texture resolution is horrid, not to mention 16bit. But the sheer sensation of speed is frightening. If you ever need to test you skills this is the game. You can only win by staying on the absolute edge, to the point that if you breathed you might fall into the reckless abyss. And when races can last well over 7mins, it'll really test your abilities, you'll be shaking afterwars. I can't think of a much better compliment for a games gameplay.

I have to agree, this is my favourite game, of ALL TIME. Sure the graphics aren't the greatest available but they are still pretty good, and the game play is absolutely perfect. I've had this game from pretty close to when it came out, and I have re-installed it at least 8 times, and played it all the way through. I just love it.
After I mastered it, i started thinking it was kind of boring, BUT there are so many secrets and shortcuts to take, and once I mastered all of those I started doing tricks and stuff, like going sideways through really narrow passages and jumps and what not. I think now, after many years, I have finally come to the point where I am not going to find any cool new things in this game, but I will still re-install it in a couple monthes... I love breaking 1000 km/h (only possible on a couple of tracks)

forgot to mention that I am pissed that Racer Revenge is not being made for the PC, it probably won't be nearly as good as the original anyways, although getting credit for bashing opponents sounds cool.
