Hey,
I just got a new computer for college, and, since I will have a T1 connection, I'm looking forward to playing Nascar 4 when I'm not studying. Anyways, I have a Athlon 1GHz on a Shuttle AK12A motherboard (it was cheap, Radeon 32 meg, and Win98. The wierd stuff is that Nascar 4 will run at 70+ FPS, but only the first time I play it. Every time it is loaded after that, it struggles to get over 50. Reboots and shutdowns make no difference, and I have installed the Via 4n1's v4.32 with no luck. I also updated the bios on my motherboard. Any ideas on what's wrong? All my other games (Grand prix legends, viper racing, NFS3) all run great with no slowdowns. Should I try new radeon drivers? I'm currently running 7075. the video card and nascar 4 did not do this on my last computer, so I'm stumped.
