New Ride

Well new to me..

2016 Ford Flex Limited Ecoboost AWD with 16K on it at the time of purchase back in December. Still has the new car smell.

I know the styling of the exterior is usually a love it or hate it attitude but I personally love it. The inside is absolutely loaded and plush.

For a nearly 5K lb vehicle it's pretty quick with that 3.5l ecoboost powering it. Stock it's 365hp/350lb-ft and I know of a local guy who has a simple tune for 64 more hp and 91lb-ft(totaling 429hp/441lb-ft). Rumored to make this beast a 12.5 sec 1/4 wagon lol.

Yes it has the large screen. It's nice!

Yeah, the interior is really nice. Loaded, air/heat seats, heated steering wheel, 1 full moonroof with 3 other sun roofs,
110 outlets, tons of usb ports, automatic rear folding seats, and a ton of other options.

It does have the captain chairs in the second row so I do lose a passenger but that's what I wanted anyways.
It makes the ability to get in the 3rd row so much easier.

Coming from a 2014 loaded Caravan it's night and day different how much better this Ford is.
The Dodge was junk though it served it purpose. Actually I still have it but the tranny is leaking like a sieve.
With a 150K on it I just didn't want to go down that rabbit hole of starting to throw money at a Caravan. IMO they are throw away vehicles.

Actually before the transmission issue I was looking at getting a sports car and keeping the Dodge.
The three that I was narrowed to was, WRX sti, Mustang GT, and a Camaro LT1/2.

With having 3 young ones the Flex was a happy medium between being sporty and practical.
It drives more like a car(I think it's based on the Tarus platform) which makes it sporty enough to get a thrill when by myself on the back roads.
Again, switch to sport mode and jump on the paddles, it's quick stock.

My wife's explorer sport has that same motor. That thing pulls hard stock. Crazy how cheap you can make more HP with them too. She doesn't want me getting crazy with her ride though.

I've always loved these, was disappointed to hear they discontinued them. The Ecoboost AWD one is really nice.
