Read it here and weep, kiddies:

That's BS, considering the sub-par version we got with NBA Live 2001.

Guess EA is kow-towing to Sony and their PS2, not to mention the X-box...bastards!

Oh, and the PC FINALLY gets PS2-style graphics for this year's PC version of Madden 2002...about time, dontcha think!!!

EA, you piss me off!!!

Umm, the link dont work, but since you explained it well enough...

****!! that sucks! Thankfully for us, the NHL series remains best played on a PC...

EA's been going down the crapper for awhile now. NBA Live 99 and NBA Live 2000 were good, but NBA Live 2001 is total crap - you gotta hack it to get it to work in Win2k. Madden 2001 isn't the greatest game ever either...

The question now is, who will make next year's best basketball PC game?

Well the NBA Live series suck bigtime up until now!!! So I don't care about 2002 anymore.
Waiting for NHL 2002 and FIFA 2002, those games look sooooo good in the previews!!

I wouldn't say PS2 FX on Madden

I wouldn't say PS2 FX on Madden

Looking at the screens the PC version is still down played. I admit, it does look better than M2k1, but they still could of did better. Look at the crowd, still bitmap images. Why can't they give the option for all out kick but Graphics? I mean, EA always under estimates the power of PC's when it comes to thier sport titles. Look at the Differencts between thier Nascar game and Seirra's. I am happy the game is coming out on the Gamecube :).

Speaking of sports games for the PC. I guess we will not get the Microsoft games either. Man NFL Fever was one of the best looking/playing Football games I have ever played on the PC. As for the basketball question, Microsoft made a good basketball game, but like NFL fever, it has not recieved an update. Fox has a basketball game that I saw on the shelf for 10 bucks at Best Buy. A friend bought it and said he liked it. I am not really into basketball, so I haven't tried it for my self. Your right on the NHL games, they are best played on the PC. NHL 2001 out right rules! Thank god thier are more than one player in town when it comes to Baseball, High Heat is one of the greatest!

Man, i cant believe I bought Live 2001 for ps2...So disapointed in that game...No franchise mode, No 3 point contest, no practice mode.. EA has learned from their mistake in that unfinished game hopefully thou. I think sport games are better on consoles thou because of the ease of the controller.
