People who drive larger vechicles

Get a minivan, they tow more and are built to carry more than a typical suv.

Then put a lift kit on it and you basically wont miss your suv.

9" sounds good enough to me my rav4 has 6"...

For me its living in the hills and boonies, 6 months of winter where they dont plow much anymore and leave up to a foot of snow on the roads, higher sitting position, and cargo area.

They're useless, and I still have no clue why people buy them (CUVS). Same size as a hatch back, can't go off road, worse areo dynamics/handling. What's the point?

Its for the identity crisis crowd of people who want an SUV because they're "big and burly and kings of the road" but hate them because they're huge and drive like uncomfortable trucks. They want the space a big SUV provides, but dont want a more practical minivan because its a girly mans machine and apparently driving it forfeits your man card. They want all this in the size of small or medium car and they dont want a station wagon because apparently station wagons are and never will be cool.

Basically yeah they want their cake and eat it too without losing their man card (or for women to be labelled as soccer moms)

I'll give CUVs the ability to be more fuel efficient than SUVs.

Station Wagons and Minivans, well, they make sense. It isn't surprising that I see so many older minivans used for hauling stuff. Couldn't haul anything in this CX30.

Not the worst one I've seen......

Look at this... why... its a hatchback

I know what it is, or what the marketing does to separate vehicles into 500 different sections. It's a car. ;)

See? :p

But it looks like a mini SUV with bigger than needed wheels but wants to be a car.... Its like a crossover event between marvel and dc comics, done as per usual, not to my liking.

This is why I like full size 4x4 crew cab pickup trucks. There's no question about what they are.

There ARE a few questions about why some people buy them though...

I just don't agree. It doesn't look anything like any kind of SUV at all. It literally looks like a straight up car with a 4" lift kit, and the size of one too.

ya its funny seeing some soccer mom driving a big old diesel tank

even then i can sorta see the logic. i think your a little safer in a full size truck vs some hot wheels type car. Generally speaking the ppl that drive little sports cars tend to give us truckers a little wider berth. They might dent my bumper or crumple the grill a bit, but ill write off your car

:yep: It's a mixed bag closer to the city here though. Full size trucks/SUVs vs little to no available parking. It's painful, especially in the winter with parking bans (lots of narrow streets) and trying to get a job done in Boston.

Still, I'll take the truck any day of the week.

i hate driving into toronto or going into any underground parking lot, airport type crap, i swear i have less than an inch of clearance and i stick out a few feet. Fortunately its against my religion to work there

 Memorial Dr in Cambridge has low hanging signs (6'8" iirc) warning about low clearance....I think I clear them by an inch lol. And if it weren't for the signs, only box trucks and bigger would have issues  It's nerve wracking. I usually have to avoid all garages and park a 20 minute walk away. I hate it.
