Rage 128 PRO AGP

I had ATI Rage 128 PRO AGP on other pentium 3 system. I wonder how can rage 128 pro can support 800x600 to 1280x1024 resolution? If I can run on 1280x1024 that is fine? :confused:
 
yeah I do...I did install driver from MS Update. oh that link, I see that
32-bit true color 3D graphics up to 1280x1024 and 2D graphics support up to 1900x1200x32bpp @ 80 Hz

Damn! I check on 1280x1024 res. But on monitor went to blackout and sign said "Sync Out of Range"...800x600 and 1024x768 can work....how suppose I can use 1280x1024??? :(
 
It sounds to me that your monitor does not support the resolution that you want to use. Is it an older monitor? Older monitors were not made to the standards of later monitors. Just something to think about.
 
That's what it sounds like to me as well. If you want to crank up the resolution, try turning down your refresh rate. The higher the resolution, the lower the refresh rate your monitor will be able to handle.
 
and...I did checked that my old monitor is Dell and it current use 75Hz. Sound like 75Hz will not work with 1280x1024? Also my question is how I can connect to other CRT monitor with this?? :confused:
