SBLive and UT

Ok I have a SBLive 5.1 and I have been having problems with it and UT. When
I download the UT enhancements and install then I get 20-30 framerates. With
out I get 60+ FPS and with normal EAX I get 20-35 FPS (all taken from
1024x768x32 high world, med players) It happens in games with more then 10
players. Could please tell me whats wrong?
Here are my sys specs:

900 T-BIRD
384 RAM
K7M mobo(Via 4.32)
Radeon SDR 32 Meg(7153)
45 gig HD
SBLive 5.1
Windows ME
 
Disable agp texturing in Advanced UT Properties and set the sound acceleration slider down one notch in Advanced Multimedia Properties.(In Control Panel)
 
I totally agree with neutraleyes there. I simply lower the level of audio acceleration, and turn off some features in UT, and my framerates are consistently in the high 50s.
