Star Wars Jedi Survivor

I loved the previous one also. Reason is when push comes to shove I can do whatever I like unlike Elden Shite. Also this one is sublime. Once you get more powers and hit Koboh you will realize how decent sized game this is.

However, recently I am stuck as I can’t get past 11/16 bounties. It’s pissing me off and I need to wait for a patch.

I honestly think the game is not at all like souls. There are no bosses with AOE that spans the whole level, there are rarely one hit deaths and you don’t lose all your shite when you die (only the xp that is not captured into a skill point).

Also it is Star Wars not just some boring ass depressing environment.

Survivor is very LITE souls. Definitely less punishing and far more shortcuts to open. Even falling off a ledge takes a tiny bit of health and puts you back near the ledge, although I guess it has to do that with so much platforming.

It's the same basic game mechanics. Die and you lose your experience until you go defeat the foe that killed you. It even allows shortcut unlocking same as Souls games. Regardless, I am not finding the exploration that rewarding. I am now on Koboh, and there is definitely more to explore. But the rewards seem all cosmetic. Although, it is hilarious that I don't even need to confuse the droids and they end up killing half their team anyway. Not sure who of those raiders approved giving them explosives, lol. The enemies usually have no more than 3 or 4 moves, so they are generally easy to defeat. Sometimes when they mob you it can be more challenging. The production quality seems good. It looks great and runs fine. I love everything Star Wars, (some more than others), so I am enjoying it. It seems a lot like the original which is a good thing. But I think you do miss the whole point of Elden Ring KAC. It's really the ultimate open world. There is a main story but no real main quest, you can go anywhere. The whole game is designed for exploration and discovery of new tools and weapons so you can grow stronger and stronger. Big spammy AOE bosses don't really appear until late in the game. By then, they are fairly easy to deal with. If you find you are dying from one hit it just means you aren't strong enough to advance past the boss that is killing you. The game doesn't tell you this or handhold you through advancing in the game. It's up to you to figure out. Spend some time and explore and get stronger. Come back later and put the beat down on that seemingly impossible foe. That's the whole game in a nutshell. With practice, you and your horse can run right past most enemies to get to where you want to go. Early on you probably want to get runes by whacking on lower enemies. But once you start leveling up, just zoom by and get where you want to go. This feature makes Elden Ring the most accessible Souls game yet. That and many of the bosses are completely skippable.

Finished the game. Not really thrilled with the twist at the end, since it came out of the blue and didn't make a lot of sense. Oh well. Solid 7/10 game overall.
