Unpatchable Security Flaw Apple M-based chips

Yeah it bad that the researchers let Apple know about it back in December according to Gandalf. Really bad to take this long to mitigate the M3 chip as you can simply flip a bit to turn the hacked feature off before doing your crypto call and then flipping it back afterwards. For the older chips an easy fix that was suggested is not to run your crypto on the performance cores and force them to run on the efficiency cores. Yes it is "unpatchable" because the root cause is baked into the silicon but we've been dealing with these type of things for a while now and it can be mitigated with some performance hit but with the additions of bits to just simply turn off these side channels while doing super secret stuff even that is getting mitigated as newer chips are developed.
