ANNOUNCING: Operation Sea Lion Scenario
For all your non-historical types, Operation SeaLion - or "Operation See Löwe" if you prefer - is about the invasion of England. This "what if" Scenario will include tanks, Half-Tracks, and of course aircraft for both sides. In this Scenario we will add the ground war into Scenario Lite event-design. The Scenario Lite-design team (brro++, rifle+, lzkng+, randn+) is still working on the details, but I can already promise you things you haven't seen before.

The first Scenario Lite "48 hours to Hammelburg" is exactly what you think it is. Its the kick-off Scenario Lite of August, the warm-up week so to speak. In this Scenario Lite you have the opportunity to getting used to drive gun platforms instead of flying them. rrrrrrelax... aircraft play a major roll as well!

After the 48 hours to Hammelburg Scenario Lite we have scheduled two weeks of Battle of Britain Scenario Lites, and we conclude the FREE WarBirds III Scenario Lite month with two training frames for the extra long WarBirds III Operation Sea Lion Scenario. As I've said earlier, we are still working on the details and "never-seen-this-stuff-before" stuff , so stay tuned for more intel soon! ======================================================================

1. Download the following file: WBWFULL080101.EXE (86,148 KB, 08/01/01)
2. Using Windows Explorer find the file you downloaded (WBWFULL080101.EXE) and double click on the file to install WarBirds III.
3. Launch WarBirds III for Windows by clicking with your mouse on the Windows START button select PROGRAMS then select iEntertainment Network then click on WarBirds III.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE MACINTOSH
We created installer packages to make the install process easy. Please note that this is a force update of WarBirds III. You must install the full installer package of this version of WarBirds III or you will not be able to play online. Sorry put there is no update installer package from version 07.03.01 to 08.01.01.

How to install the FULL Macintosh version:
1. Download the following file:
WBFULL080101.SIT (86,634 KB, 08/01/01),
Using StuffIt Expander uncompress the WBMIN050201.SIT file. It will unstuff into a folder called "WarBirds III". Double click on the "WarBirds III Installer" file inside this folder to install WarBirds III.
2. If you do not already have OpenGL 1.2.1 or later installed, there is an additional “OpenGL 1.2.1 Installer” folder included. Double-click on the “OpenGL 1.2.1” file in this folder to install it.
3. If you have OpenGL 1.2.2 and an ATI card, there is an additional download on the site (ATIDRIVER122.SIT) which you should download. Use StuffIt Expander to uncompress and double-click on the installer file in this folder to install it.
4. If you have OpenGL 1.2.1 and an ATI card, there will be a driver file available tomorrow (ATIDRIVER121.SIT). Follow the same instructions as above to install it when it is available.
5. You can launch WarBirds III for the Macintosh by double clicking on the WarBirds III application.
