I'm wondering which one of these cards is the best, and which is the best when overclocked.

I have a celeron 566@850 + 128 meg ram

Get the Radeon for all it's new features and performance and excellent 2D quality.

PIII 700E @ 936MHz
Abit SE6
V5 5500 (owned before: DDR, SDR, TNT2U, V3 2k and 3k, G400 Max, Viper II etc...)
ATA100 IBM Hard Drive
SB Live Value
128MB Mushkin 150MHz+ HSDRAM Ram
Plextor 12x10x32x
21" Viewsonic P815-3, etc...

I like all its features and the 2D quality, but is it fast? If it is nearly as fast as a MX I'll by one--> Nvidea sucks :)

Speedwise, the Radeon uses the same chip that beats the full fledged GeForce II, while the MX uses a crippled GeForce II chip (1/2 the pipelines).

Of course the 32 meg Radeon isn't clocked as fast as the 64 meg, so...

The comparison might still be close.

Especially if you take drivers into consideration.

My friend called last week asking about drivers and ATI told him that they were "a few days away". That was over 10 days ago.

Not exactly inspiring IMO. I've said it before, but I'll say it again.. I really like the looks of the Radeon, but I can't put any cash down until they show me that they're going to get their acts together where drivers are concerned.

I'd have to agree with everyone here, but remember that the 32mb SDR version uses "slower" RAM (of course), but more importantly it is clocked at 166mhz.

But surely this is fast enough for the casual user, if you are one?
