Windows 10 Spyware

Nothing really surprises me and since Windows 8 was a flop, MS decided to gift Windows 10 for a full year. But the more I think about it the more sense it makes, MS is clearly making huge amounts of dollars off our personal information. Apparently if you really want to disable all the spyware, the OS is basically broken.

With that said why is spying on peoples personal life so lucrative? I could be wrong but didn't MS invest big time money into Data Centers?

This never really bothered me until recently when I saw the actual language in the terms of service agreement for using Win 10.

My whole life is being monitored.. And then factor in the Mandatory Kinect which can both see and listen. I think MS was really trying to take spying to the next level. A lot of people wanted nothing to do with Kinect for that exact reason, and MS didn't exactly invest a lot of money into there Kinect product. Nothing came out for it.. literally nothing.. and it was a mandatory item at first.

I can also see a practical side for MS wanting everyone on 1 OS. And there are benefits for monitoring software/hardware issues I am sure. Your basically throwing caution to the wind using these technologies. I am just sayin.. I am not paranoid and I am not even disabling the or even attempting to disable the spyware and the keylogger.. but I sense or envision evil things can happen when you give powerful corps all of your personal info.

100% tracking of absolutely everything is the present and future.

Amazon drones in the sky. Fully recorded self driving cars. Always aware phones and other home devices. Heck, my cordless tools even reports location.

The spying I believe is reduced when not using a microsoft account to login. The telemetry stuff can be disabled too, and don't use cortana.

After that, it's just windows like any other.

I find having a windows account to damn useful. So I am willing to take part in the data collecting. For now.

Curious as to what in particular you find useful about it. Yes, actually curious.

I had a live account when I had windows 7.. and I have everything sync'ed with my my email account. And it just works flawlessly for me anyway. Between my surface pro, my windows phone and my windows PC.. between my xbox live account and my xbox.. Its easy to remember and everything is in sync.

I am sure there are alternatives but I sorta just fell into using my live email account and it just happend to work great with everything MS and Xbox related and office going forward from years ago. So I just stuck with it as my primary email account.
