Windows 11 22H2 update killing performance for some.

Who here runs Win 11? I 'upgraded' my backup PC to try it out, seems decent. Kinda afraid to upgrade my main PC. Share experiences people. Of course there's only 7 users on this board, so don't expect a lot

I do, no issues but some have seen it.

What is this windows 11 you speak of ? I’m running an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz which is too low spec for that OS.

I've also had zero performance issues with the latest Win11 build. I have not truly rebuilt my PC since my Windows 7 Ultimate install and have installed overtop even through hardware upgrades (removed drivers, libraries, etc. but the build is still here). I'm either super lucky, or perhaps my house of cards has helped somehow lol.

I absolutely refuse to upgrade to WIN11. I see no reason to go from 10 to 11, especially not with the upcoming additional ads MS is about to include in windows 11 soon. There's simply no incentive to go through the trouble.

If you're running a 12th or 13th gen Intel processor (the ones with P cores and E cores), then you'll want to run Win11 which has a scheduler capable of handling proper load distribution across cores of different capability. If run Win 10 it will be fine 95% of the time but that other 5% will occasionally crop up when you least want it to.
(or if you really want to stay on Win 10 you could disable all the E cores in the bios, but that defeats the purpose and you should have just gone Ryzen instead)
