WinME gaming...

I recently read in a magazine that WinME was FAR better in the low-res department for games! I mean like below 1024x768.
There was about a 10fps difference from the low-res benchmarks.

Now, Win 98SE was ahead of WinME by about 5fps roughly in the mid->high-res dept.
(1024x768 close)

Did anyone else read this??
I forget which magazine it was, there were benchmarks in it though.

Wow, that's a bit extreme don't you think? They both use almost the same kernel and both have DirectX7a. I have tried both but haven't fount much difference between the two ... maybe 1 or 2 fps here and there .. Win2K is a different story alltogether .

WinME uses Directx7.1 not dx7a.....just a thought

We all play in at least 1024x768 now.

Win98SE, is still the best OS for high-res gaming though.

I play in low res... My Rage Lt wont give me good FPSage on higher res'. Btw, that magazine wasn't all too correct. there is a diff, but not a 10 fps one.

WinME kicks on my system.....of course it's tweaked.....I wouldn't have it any other way.
