Anyone in here have one of the Hauppauge WinTV's and use the WinTV program? Interested in a remote plugin...

I just got one of these cards and have been writing a small plugin for the remote..

So far it does the following:

• Volume up/down/Mute
• Channel up/down
• 0-9 Buttons to change channel (right now only when in focus, that will change soon)

I've got a few more things that i definitely want to add.

i'm having an absolute pain of a time getting the resize button to switch between fullscreen and windowed mode. It doesn't want to play nice.
If anyone knows how to send a "Ctrl+T" as a virtual key in 1 message let me know, the Hex number would be great.

i'm gonna try and get alot done on it tonight and hopefully have a release by the weekend for you guys. The fullscreen thing is bugging me though.

Hey I got your plugin and it worked ok but when I pressed up on the channel button it would go up 2 or 3 times.


I figured it was b/c I had an out dated wintv so I updated to the new one and now it won't even start and the remote won'[t work either :P Anyway hopefully you can get it worked out. Any specific versions you were working with?

I tried 3.2, 3.2 drivers and the newest wintv

Sorry it took me so long to get to this.. i haven't checked the remote forum in a while.

I used the latest versions of both wintv and drivers from their site.


I need you to try something unbelieveably stupid for me... move the receiver part of the remote that's hooked to the pc to another spot. Someplace that is very open.

I got the same thing that you were seeing a few times and i came up with the theory that the receiver was getting the signal and processing it 2x or more. Once I moved it to a more open area, it cleared up almost instantly.

Ya it's a real stupid solution, but give it a try.
