XP support for audio in digital VCR

Has anyone had any luck getting any build of XP to record audio in the ATI digital VCR app? I can cap video just fine, can hear audio just fine, but it won't capture audio. The setting dialogs for digital VCR do not even have the option for audio. I've tried every driver I can find, even mixtures of different builds, and this is driving me nuts. I can record audio with other apps such as the Windows Sound Recorder, so it's not a hardware problem (also it works great under WinME).

Problem solved!! Just upgraded to XP Pro 2502, now everything works flawlessly, even better than in WinME. Now I can finally break that 4-gig filesize barrier and use NTFS, recording movies at high quality.
