Just a quick question. Isn't the motherboard asking for 3 PSU inputs?
Also isn't 1000 Watts less for 3 cards w/ AIO on top?

I have everything in my cart. Only second thoughts on graphics cards since AIOs have a habit of crapping out whenever they feel like.

From what I remember, AIO doesn't take up that much power. About as much as a fan motor for the pump and an actual fan for the RAD.

1000 watts should be about right for 3 cards. Power is 280 per card with the EVGA AIO's. So you are at 840-ish for the cards.

Also, from what I have seen the AIO's don't have a higher failure rate than normal cards. Sure some people have some issues with the pump motors but some people have also put the radiators in the wrong place as well.

If you get a card be sure to get one with a nice warranty. That's why I go with EVGA. 3 year warranty is nice to have.

No offense to anyone; in fact small-time farmers might actually be helping the situation feeding the bubble making it burst as soon as possible.

But **** miners, seriously. The entire concept is stupid.
BitCoin makes no sense. How can you create value without service?

Solving arbitrary equations isn't a valid service.
If this much effort had been made in the field of Folding projects, a now cancer-free human race would be living on green Mars colonies by now .

Hopefully it crashes before my next GPU upgrade and without anybody jumping out of office windows.
This isn't base jelly hate, GTX 1070 prices in my country have gone over $1500.

Dave, do you plan to add 19 cards? All on same motherboard? Will require a new rig frame etc.

According to commits to Nice Hash Legacy they added initial support for the DTSM miner a couple days ago.

Nice Hash Legacy is out now with the DTSM miner included :D

Nice little bump on my 970 :3

KAC Jan 29, 2018 12:59 AM

I am such a nub. I still do not know how to run this damn NHLM. Do I just unzip NHLM and what do I do w/ the bin file that is 147 mb? Wtf?

I don't like running legacy on my gaming system. when it switches to a new algorithm the command prompt window pops me out of the game i'm playing (like alt-tabbing).

No I dont. I went with the Asus board because its the brand I am most comfortable with and it having multiple ATX connectors on the board so I dont have to mess around with jumping PSU's to get them to power on. Also it was the same price as the other mining boards.

I say I dont plan on adding 19 cards - but it's always nice to have that option.

So tell it to fug erf and hide the mining windows in the settings?

KAC Jan 29, 2018 01:56 AM

Corsair RMi 1000 W PSU any good?

Didn't know you could do that, awesome! Looks like about a 20 Sols/s boost for me (DTSM vs. EWBF).

KAC Jan 29, 2018 07:08 AM

I cancelled everything except the evga hybrids.
Maybe next month I delve again into this.

Dave Jan 29, 2018 07:16 AM

KAC Jan 29, 2018 07:19 AM

Riptide Jan 29, 2018 08:07 AM

LOL you guys

I did test ccminer over the weekend and targeting the one GPU worked great. Battlefront ran just fine while the other GPU kept mining.

Kind of academic at this point since I'm going to be moving the second GPU into the frame downstairs anyway.

KAC Jan 29, 2018 08:18 AM

I am having second thoughts all the time. You gays know me. I am thinking about fixing my financials and then going off the deep end into mining. I need till end of Feb before I go full in.

Wouldn't go all in buying lots of stuff just to do this. Try with 4-5 cards and see. 4-5 cards is a minimal loss even if coins tanked tmr. You just loose out on the second hand market a tad.

KAC Jan 29, 2018 08:51 AM

Right now I don't even know how to cash out the money I make since coinbase is not in UAE. :bleh:

I know I can use bitoasis.net or bittrex but not sure how that will work.

Meanwhile have 8 cards on order.

OverclockN' Jan 29, 2018 08:59 AM

Wouldn't it be a good idea to figure out how to do the mining, configure the card(s), and cash out the Bitcoin payouts before diving in 8 cards deep?

Hate to be the voice of reason here, but what's the rush?

Dave Jan 29, 2018 09:02 AM

Can't even get nicehash legacy to run and is buying 8 cards...

KAC Jan 29, 2018 09:03 AM

I ran nicehash legacy. I just never got around to finding out why there is a NHML and a bin file that is 147 mb. :bleh:

curio Jan 29, 2018 10:35 AM

I bought the rest of the Sea Hawks that KAC didn't get; I'm in on this

KAC Jan 29, 2018 10:38 AM

I got Corsair HX1000 Plats for 199 a pop on Amazon.

KAC Jan 29, 2018 11:08 AM

lol 3 jokers on r3d swiped 18 1080 Ti refurbs..

curio Jan 29, 2018 11:14 AM

That is funny

So you didn't cancel yours?

KAC Jan 29, 2018 11:15 AM

No I actually replaced the whole order. I even called these guys and they are legit. Good thing is that I got the Corsair Plats for 10$ extra each and in stock instead of Corsair Golds.
My card has already been charged for the gfx, psu, all the cable shite, and ssd. Only pending is case, mobo and cpu. Also, the EVGA Hybrids haven't been charged.

curio Jan 29, 2018 11:17 AM

Nice

Yeah I'm a chunk of change into this now too; we have the money to do this at the moment and I only need the market not to tank for 6 months to get my full ROI. Even if it tanks before that, I can still sell those cards and make a lot of my money back.

I'm excited but also a bit nervous
