Just installed a new SATA DVD burner, so cables are a lot less messy since getting rid of the large IDE cable. Now I just have one small IDE cable for my IDE HDD at the bottom. Might not look all that special but for anyone with an Antec 900 you'll know how tough cable management is in this case.

And my desk:

On a side not I love the signature quote as well!

Nah, mostly just my media, web/ftp, left 4 dead, and hot spare servers.
It also holds my:
Main computer
A/V Reciever
DTS encoder
Cable modem
Wireless router
extra switch
Ethernet coupler patch panel
Print server
Printer
PS3
Xbox360
HD-DVD player

Only the front is full, still have plenty of shelves on the backside.

Here's some slightly updated pics of my rig. Things that are different are:

4 new scythe fans
2 added western digital caviar blacks in raid
285GTX
faced the dvd drive the right way :bleh:

Messy desk:

tower:

where all the mess went:

Best case I've ever owned, and I don't plan on ever buying another one. Unless of course some weird new tech that doesnt fit anything comes out or something.

GravY Jul 3, 2009 05:41 PM

what case is that?

Messy lol..

my basement is still in the process of being finished.. actually going to get some work done on it this weekend.. my area is just a thrown together mess with junk all over..

my 3yr old playing feeding frenzy on the 360..

Perky McGiggles Jul 3, 2009 08:02 PM

The case is a Lian-Li PC-X500

And most of the mess was confined slightly off to the right and left of that picture. I thought I uploaded a different one.

I admire the clean cable routing. Man if I had the money Id buy that case, send you my parts, pay you to assemble it like yours, and pay shipping both ways.

Nice setup - was that prebuilt or did you just stick the OS sticker on the side?

I got it at Wal-Mart. Came with a matching 3 shelf bookcase too. I think it was $50 or so. I'm looking for a link right now for you.

Edit-I also have this desk for the family computer. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...ct_id=11016187

Thanks for the links! I have an old, very heavy office desk from I want to say the late 80's so moving that will be a big no no, especially up 3 flights of stairs.

Caveboy Sr's setup: just upgraded his cooling, HD's and Gfx.
Old setup with Cooler Master HyperTX2, 2x250Gb 7200.10 and 2xXFX 8800GS 384Mb:

New setup with Xigmatek HDT-S1284, 2x400Gb 7200.10 and GTS250 Superclocked:

Heatsink means I'll have to be careful spec'ing out additional RAM. Sorry for the odd size pics, just a quickie upload and post.

The last picture looks like the computer is floating in mid air... :p

caveman-jim Aug 10, 2009 09:03 PM

action shot, I threw it across the room and took a quick pic. Came out quite well, I thought... :D

Dragex Aug 11, 2009 11:48 AM

I think it's about time I posed my setup. :bleh:

Radeon DJ 9800 Aug 14, 2009 05:21 PM

Question completely unrelated to your comp setup...

Is that an Ernie Ball John Petrucci Signature-6 on the wall?

Yep. :) I love it, I think it will be a really hard guitar to actually replace, if ever.
