Thanks. I actually already have that config file setup when I had the 1080p 144hz monitor

demo Apr 18, 2018 05:35 AM

Sweet. My monitor oc's to 165 and tbh I've tried every range, but for BF I find 120 is the sweet spot (I just go 125 from the quake engine/cod days).

When you build a PC for your wife that looks sooooo much better than my rig does.

Looks good NYC!

nycdarkness May 22, 2018 08:51 PM

Tr going into my spectre case whenever it gets here.

0091/2 May 22, 2018 09:51 PM

What case is that? Are your storage drives behind the MoBo tray?

nycdarkness Jun 12, 2018 09:29 AM

It's a v3000 and yes most are behind the tray. Nvmes are inside. Ended up swapping to asus even though I didn't really care for it but I wanted a seperate VRM block. Not that the bitspower mono wasn't doing well. Was for other IHS reasons

Destroy Jun 12, 2018 09:33 AM

There is some serious OCD in this thread.

Megaman Jun 12, 2018 08:59 PM

I have added a new RGB component to my disco. Pretty happy with it. I have one more item to add to it, possibly 2 and I'll call it a day.

Also got into iCUE from Corsair which is now the go to application for my bling. It's pretty sweet actually. I didn't know it handles addressable RGB on my fans..so now I can set multiple colours within the fans.... Corsair link will be canned.

Silent-Runner Jun 19, 2018 09:32 AM

on the computer-board before rage they also had a desktop-screenshot-thread and everytime someone posted a screen everyone would almost dissect the icons shown on the screen.

The picture itself was only a subsidiary matter :D

The case cost $379.

nycdarkness Jun 19, 2018 11:59 AM

Ya it was onsale a while back for like 280 during memorial day. I paid 450 for the first one lol and 280 for the second.

Silent-Runner Jun 20, 2018 08:53 AM

okay, that sounds better

Omega53 Jun 28, 2018 08:42 AM

Nowhere near the level of some of you guys. I'm just to scared to go with a custom loop

Dave Jun 28, 2018 08:54 AM

Love those NZXT GPU brackets. Only wish they weren't so bulky (have 2 myself lol).

Mangler Jun 28, 2018 10:52 AM

RGB=:up:

That sandwich is triggering me though, but I guess it does not matter if the temps are still fine.

Omega53 Jun 29, 2018 07:04 AM

I guess this technically counts as a computer build

I built myself a Retropie using a Raspberry Pi 3 and a $25 NES case for it. All together (not including the controller) I spent about $80. Much better value than the NES or SNES mini. They also make SNES cases for the PI 3 too. There are multiple themes you can download and you can even download video previews and box art for all your games.

You can order kits off amazon for like 80 bucks.

OverclockN' Jun 29, 2018 03:03 PM

Are the games upscaled to 1080P?

How is the image quality and sound?

You set the upscale resolution. Yes you can run it at 1080p

Image quality and sound are pretty much identical to the original systems but better since it's digital (over hdmi) instead of using coax or video out.

A lot of the software clones aren't 100% accurate with the colors and audio. For $80 though, I'm interested in trying this. Would be a fun project at the very least.
