Looked it up, seems kinda badass. Just wish they made one that was a little smaller and curvier(like say the trackman marble from Logitech)

Would definitely get one if they had curvier ones.

:)

I'm assuming you can change the windows in between, and you don't actually use the top monitor as your primary?

Hi Adam, I'm wondering if you're getting air flow issue with the 7970's stacked up like that? On my current 6990+6970 and my previous 5870 CFX configs, the top card doesn't get enough air flow as the bottom card blocks the air intake.

Same; so much that I pulled the 6970 and sold the thing.

The shroud around the three cards has a 120mm fan in there that forces air between the cards. It's a nice feature of the HAF-X and is supposed to be used for such a configuration. Helps out quite a bit. I also have a 140mm fan mounted on the back of the case just behind the cards. It helps exhaust air from the cards. You can sorta see it in the pic. I don't have any problems with the cards overheating at all. Even during stress testing.

Poor man's setup.

Damn maid, fudging my wiring again. :runaway:

sunnyd Jan 25, 2012 01:29 PM

Adam - where/how are your cables routed? It's nice and sleek so I'm looking to copy it if I can.

dark_preacher Jan 25, 2012 06:35 PM

Sunny, looks like they are routed behind the motherboard tray. I have a similar setup on my 800d.

They go behind the case since both ends of it open. My cables look the same since I own the HAF X as well.

Cost me $700 two years ago :)

Should be much cheaper in the U.S./Canada.

http://www.rosenthalfurniture.com/ca...orrow-Desk.htm

Discription is wrong though, there's no wood. Its Metal and re-inforced Solid Glass.

Nunz Jan 28, 2012 02:35 PM

I wish I had the room for something like that.
Awesome!
