I ended up pulling the coolers since the pump on the H40 grinds like crazy. I'm not going to put up with that.
It seems like replacing the TIM on the direct cu 2 coolers dropped temps a good few degrees. Between that and adding a fan on the bottom of the case the temps aren't too far off from what I saw with the H40 and HR-03 now. Sadly, I think that I'm going to return the H100. Its a good thing that I bought that at a best buy. Once again the pump is just too loud. It isn't worse than the H40 but it is quite a bit louder than my H60. I'm not going to get a replacement either. It does a good job and all my H60 does a good enough job at a voltage that I feel comfortable feeding the card. I'm not about to break 1.45v with loadline 24/7. |
My H100 is silent, however my faulty unit was audible, I wouldnt be surprised if you have a faulty unit with its days numbered.. unfortunately, there seems to be a lot of them too.

The products are excellent but all the pumps used, including the H100, have similar thrashing problems caused by air bubbles. Some fix themselves after you do a few things, others never do. I went through 3 H80's personally before just switching to a massive air cooler for my system :( They work great but the noise is really irritating unfortunately, if you are unlucky enough to have one of the problem pumps. Really great products, just unfortunate some don't have the air out :( |
I'm surprised. I had really good luck with my H50 and H60. They both work great. I can't believe that both the H40 and H100 were flaky. The H40 was the worse of the two.

slawter, did you get the new wheel and pedals from Fanatec or is that the same kit you had from when I was on NVN last?
|

Fanatec planed to launch the CluSsport Wheel today but pushed the release to tomorrow. I'm waiting for that wheel since the first day they showed it - can't wait! Pedals are still the good old ClubSport Pedals (V1, V2 are also coming tomorrow but I'll keep mine). |
