It's to be expected. It's in the public domain. Water off a ducks back and so forth. I've seen setups just as crazy, or crazier than mine.

It's not even that crazy, I mean look at how Maximum PC spend $7K+ on their dream rig every year and compare it what AdamK47's got for similar money.

There are guys who spend thousands a year on rebuilding transmissions, replacing cams and remapping engines, new manifolds, exhausts, just for dyno bragging rights. Some spends thousands on going on vacation 4 times a year. Others a hobbyist pilots, or build robots for fighting competitions. Is it so different?

Agree. Not that crazy.

Excessive spending on material items is all relative. What seems like thousands spent on a hobby to some, may only seem like pocket change to others. Different lifestyles.

The debate on whether or not that money would be better spent elsewhere is a different story though. Personally I believe you only live once so enjoy yourself if you are so inclined.

I spent over 12k on my setup and it's going to get a 5k upgrade sometime next year when the 12 core Xeon processors get released....

Only thing i could do is take it apart and paint the outside with a custom paint job(hand brush of course).....Can't think of anything else hardware wise....:lol:

I had no idea the Creative Sound Blaster Z had a light on it so I took some new pictures. Thankfully it was red :lol:

Seems like that soundcard will not be a hit for those who hates bright lights in their pc.

Threw together a triple tahiti rig for grins.



asus crosshair v formula with overclocked fx 8350 (4.75GHz CPU / 2.5GHz NB/L2 / 3.3GHz HTt [250MHz bClk]), 4x4GB AMD Enthusiast Memory at DDR3-2000 11-11-11, and three XT cards at 1100MHz / 1500MHz it pulls a KW from the wall to score x8323 in 3dmark11. Got a samsung 830 128GB as OS drive (win 8) and Seagate 7200.12 1TB as games drive. case is a haf 932, psu is corsair tx 850, cooler is amd fx liquid cooler with noctua fans.

One of my TX 850's does, the other (in my i7 rig) doesn't. I think this one, which has 6 pci-e 6+2 plugs, is a 950 in disguise :sherlock:

Those corsair power supplies really are impressive. Does it run warm when pulling that kind of juice?

I also love the eyefinity in portrait that looks cool.

Yes, it's mildly warm to the touch but definitely not hot.

It really is, love the extra vertical res - 1920 pixels down is :drool: plus in 3x1 portrait you have 27:16 aspect ratio which is very close to 16:9 - or at least closer than 5760x1080 is :lol:

Does the card with the custom cooler get noticeable louder in that configuration?

Looks great for desktop, but I couldn't game like that.
