orrr.. Lighting? (My much older Note, and S2 takes better pictures, don't blame it on image compression. Maybe lack of lighting but not compression for sure.) |
Phone for mine also. Nokia 928.
http://www.rage3d.com/board/showpost...postcount=5113 And that's one of my more terrible pics because I took it a top a table with a lot of light glare. |

and the lighting was better |
With flash, ok now I can tell it is colored tube not old
top one looks like your running cigarette smoke though it but then i'm just a little color blind |
Left side is pretty close to done, so I'm at the final stage where adding water and bleeding comes into play and leave it like that for at least a day:
![]() Once that's done, the radiators on each side and the one on the top get screwed to the respective panels. ![]() Front panel is now all black and the analog fan controlers are gone....It's all touch screen LCD's....:) |
Looks really crammed. Isn't there a case that allows for more separation and encapsulation of duties?

It is indeed, but the only thing bigger is a mountain mods extended ascension cube case with the horizontal motherboard tray....Nothing on the market is bigger, and even then, it's only bigger height wise.....Depth and how wide it is are the same as what I have now: http://www.mountainmods.com/CYO_pick...nded_Ascension Would come to about 650$ with the options I want, and it would be enough to add 3 more fans on the top radiator for a push/ pull fan setup( if they had a top panel for it, which they don't), and 2 more 5 1/4 drive bays( one on each side), so that would allow dual bay reservoirs or more fan controlers, rather than the single bay units I use now, and one more front triple radiator, so there are advantages obviously but they aren't enough for the price asked and ditching my current case. I'd like It with that horizontal motherboard tray option is that with the amount of blocks, fittings and tube connected to the motherboard, as well as the 4 video cards, the motherboard weighs in at an easy 30~35 Lbs by itself, so mounting that vertically with a case labs THX10 like bill has, puts a lot of strain on the board. |

and then you never have to repipe the pedestal with a mb change |

No pedestal option available unfortunately.....You can try the link and look at the case while the options are being applied, it's pretty cool. Looking at it more carefully, even if i add another triple radiator on the front panel of an extended ascension with the options I'd want ,I'd lose the side radiators I currently have on this build, so there would be more room because the vertical height of the case and it would make it easier to do the build, but not really an extra cooling over what I have now. The triple I have now on the top would move the back of the case below the power supplies with a specific back panel they offer. |
So far so good as far as bleeding goes...It's been running for 2 hours and not a single drop anywhere, despite using all those fittings and 5 radiators....Used up an entire gallon of distilled water.
Now i'll leave it the entire night and check on the levels tomorrow, then proceed with the next pain in the ass, the installation of software... |
Here's a couple of pictures that pretty much says it all:
![]() ![]() Everything works but I got to figure out why my keyboard isn't powering up and I've tried 3 of them, so the system isn't booting into the BIOS itself and I have no beeps, just a code that says 6C on the motherboard itself so I'm off to search what is it since the motherboard manual lists it but doesn't say much. |
That sucks dude, hope you get it figured out soon, and it's nothing defective.
|
Yeah dude, that sucks. I hope that its something simple too.
|
Figured it out with a little searching....Seems that this particular error pops up when installing 2 ivy bridge based CPU's along with unregistered DDR3, so all that's needed is to remove one of the CPU's and flash the board to the latest BIOS.
I'll pick the easiest to remove CPU, which is pretty easy to get to but only do it tomorrow....Already downloaded the BIOS file, so it's being a pain but could be far worse. |

I can confess that I'm sitting here secretly waiting for the day Shadow opts to clean out his closet and sell some gear.
Any 980x's you need taken off your hands for cheap? :manches: |
Sooo. Got my case, its huge... Larger than I thought lol..
Cat for scale, taken with a potato to keep the thread theme. ![]() |

Your going to hate me for saying it, but I gave a 980x and an AMD HD5970 dual GPU card to a co worker about 2 months ago, as he was still running an X58 board..... I still do have GTX580's that have water blocks (3 of those) and the HD7970's too but i'll be putting those to work yet again with the SR-2 board and the 1366 Xeon's in it in a separate system. |

Looking forward to seeing the build progress. :) Quote:

![]() ![]() After 1600 days of uptime, I had to shutdown the system due to all power being cut to the building and migration of some systems. "Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet prince; And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest." |
I've updated my specs, but for some reason I can't get them to pop-up in the left side pane (I get kicked back at the top of the page when I press the button ).
So here's a pic of the new rig I put together. Just finished re-installing everything, still waiting to make it run hot! :D ![]() |

Ive been having the same problem with the specs listing for a while now too

Enable compatibility mode for r3d
|
strangely IE11 doesn't have a compatibility icon in the address window, so this time you have to access compatibility mode through the tools menu and add the website from there. working now, thx! :) |

Turns out that flashing the bios was wasted work since the board has been acting weird for the last few days and I was working with Asus support trying out several things and it seems it's no better, so it might be RMA time, but I'm having second thoughts on going for the same board....First time in 20 years something I bought hasn't worked properly....Seems the board isn't even listed at the store I bought it from, so it was probably their last one in inventory and they aren't ordering more.
But there's light at the end of the tunnel, and I was surprised by the brand and them entering this market, and that it packs an extra bonus over the Asus board.....Gentlemen, I present: http://www.meetgadget.com/gadget/635...+1.0%29/photos GIGABYTE GA-7PESH3...Yup, I was surprised Gigabyte entering this market and the layout of the board is pretty much identical to the Asus model, and the surprise with with one?.....Built in dual port SAS LSI controller that can handle 8 drives in raid and the board cost less than the Asus one..:) |
