New computer case day has arrived!

By by you old piece of garbage with no cable management (and a side door that has been missing for the last several years)

Hello new sexy case

KAC Sep 6, 2017 12:13 AM

This.

I think all told it came out to be just under $200 for the whole desk setup. You can buy all the parts separately and mix and match however you want it.

I took a longer and shorter Linnmon table top piece and connected them, used Adils legs, and an Alex unit for drawers. Sorta like this here.

Destroy Sep 18, 2017 05:18 PM

Not mine but I found this pretty impressive.

logical Sep 18, 2017 05:22 PM

Too many lights. It would fatigue me just to be in that room after a day of work.

Dave Sep 18, 2017 10:22 PM

Wall mounted case, desk, and monitor. Almost done, I need to buy some USB cable extenders, a long Display Port cable. Once I have them I'll be installing some cable concealers to hide the cables in.

It's ninja turtles, not Mecha.

KAC Sep 19, 2017 09:24 AM

Evileh Sep 19, 2017 01:35 PM

Chicanery and bamboozelment it doesnt do things right when in spoiler tags. This forum needs a upgrade so bad.

Anyhoo the noparse bbcode makes it so the forum software leaves your **** alone when you want to be a smart ass.

Say you type :D

Usually you get :D for an emote automatically parsed by the forum software running the site.

When you add noparse to things it stops the forum software from turning :D into the emoticon :D

I hate using :D cause it's so outdated looking so I've taken to using noparse so it just shows :D instead to help get my posts across better and more to my style.

I use the :D emote on steam a lot since it has a doofy looking version of the :D emote which perfectly matches my style.

Steams version looks like this

Really awesome case for the price. Looks awesome Avi.

btw- Why'd ya throw away the brass standoffs? Brass is worth some moula these days. lol.

And Dave... Awesome. That case is unique in that manner. Just wish there was a way to screen it off or cover it so dust/hair or w/e won't dirty it up.

Anyway... Here's my newest update..
Just before I got everything plugged in.. lol.

and... Shes aliveeeee!

lmchv Sep 22, 2017 06:56 PM

Not a new computer, but a new custom desk for both my ultra towers, also, overhead shelves :)

Flyordie Sep 23, 2017 03:18 AM

I like the desks. Simplistic. Wide open. :-)

that's what I was aiming for, the space is not big, it's just a narrow (but long)corridor between my kids rooms. I moved the towers below the desks and the space now looks open and well lit :)

jimmt Sep 24, 2017 08:14 AM

I had 2 20 inch monitors collecting dust. Why not use them?!?! :)

Eyfinity works well with different size mon

Put together a budget gaming rig out of old parts for a friend.

P67-UD4
i5 2500
HD7870 OC edition
8GB 2000MHz Dominator GT
Samsung 840 SSD & 1TB WD Blue

It does surprisingly well running BF1 Ultra at 60fps solid (minus post FX at medium), just beating a secondary Skylake i3 and 750Ti mATX rig I have here.

The i3 750Ti system

Mangler Sep 29, 2017 08:54 AM

It's pretty shocking just how far a 2500/600k takes you in modern games, I guess we can thank the jaguar toaster for that.
