I want to know too. I been looking at these pics all day. As for the cold cathodes, they look like the same kind I put in my case. I got them from Frys. But they plug into a normal power supply. They mount with the double sided tape included in the package. But what I want to know is if this guy is using some other type of cold cathodes, not made for computers but for home design, planters, whatever. Something we can find at a Home Depot possibly? Anybody know? if thats the case it probably comes with all the stuff needed, tubes, power, switches etc. Very nice setup that I plan to duplicate on a smaller scale with my desk at home. |
Where can I buy this from. This website has it discontinued. Someone please help! :'(

/\ why would they discontinue that? I have trouble believing that it was hard to sell.

BYTECC BT-200 USB2.0 to IDE Cable With Power Adapter - Retail http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16812156101 I am going to buy one of these. They sell these everywhere. IDE to USB adapters. They come with power for the IDE drive which is just what we want. Ive seen these as low as 14 bucks too. This one is 25 bucks but out of the 2 on newegg, this one looks like it should do the job and Im sure about the power cable. |
ok i stole the look. miniturized it. my last post. in this thread.
oh, used a 12v 1000ma adapter you can buy at any electronics or hardware type place, and soldered it to an extra molex. and the cold cathode tubes that go in cases. Still looking for a blue set. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

It runs around 8-900 if you can find some coupons for Dell. I love it, its nice and big and supports component, svideo, composite, etc...
It runs native at 1920 x 1200 so I have a 7800GTX to push it and I am very pleased. HL2 looks awesome along with FEAR, BF2, etc... I wouldnt hesitate buying this LCD again. |
Hehe TWISM, I'm glad you like it! ;)

I have been working on a casemod of my own - I have never tried before - here are some progress pics - there is no actual computer yet and I also have done somethings to the front of it but haven't taken pics yet - I have a gatewatch and some cathode and fan controllers in the front now.
