Meteor_of_War Mar 24, 2009 07:50 AM

Looks great, MrWiggly.

I'm planning to do the same to my Antec 900. Any tips on spray painting?

Awesome, any chipping? I'm thinking of getting mine powder-coated (expensivo) but if the regular sprays are ok I might go that route instead.

Meteor_of_War Mar 24, 2009 11:22 AM

Painting the inside makes it look sooo much better. I'm definitely going to do it.

Only thing that stinks is I'll be without my PC for a day while it dries. Breaking it all down and rebuilding it is a pain too.

MrWiggly Mar 24, 2009 07:23 PM

Hey thanks guys!

As for tips all I know is that its better to put on a few thin coats then to try one thick coat of paint. You dont want your paint to run, so I find a few light coats works good for me. I did 3 in total for this case.

Your paint will scratch easy if it hasnt dried yet, so you have to give it time to dry. I left mine over night and I found that it wasnt totally dry in the morning, but I went ahead and started putting my stuff in it anyways. :D

I agree that its looks alot better with the inside painted black. The colours of everything just stand out more with the insde black.

cheers

emilee - that is a sweet machine. Excellent choice of mods, clean execution, nothing overbearing or overdone. It must have cost a small fortune, and regardless of whether or not you have money coming out of your anus, the machine is well done. Good job on a beautiful rig. Seeing your machine makes me seriously consider replacing my "VEGAS" style machine below with some cool aluminum and water cooling goodness.

i have those lights there bright as hell

I'd put a 120/140mm fan in those empty bays to provide more air intake.

Zero Mar 28, 2009 01:02 PM

I wouldn't, unless he's got a heat problem. Or a lack of bling. :bleh:

Here's my baby. It's still a work in progress but I thought I'd share it now.

I still need to do some better cable management and get some longer cables for my DVD drive and card reader, but other than that it's coming along nicely. I spent probably 6 or so hours trying to get the cables better managed and I kind of crapped out at the end. I think when I go back at it most of that mess at the top will be gone.

Since I just changed my main rig from being an AMD Phenom II to a Core i7 Rig I figured I would post a couple of pictures.

No pics of the inside, but it's not much to look at.

Meteor_of_War Apr 11, 2009 11:47 AM

I can tell you're a photographer, ScottDoom. Either that, or just have a really nice camera.

And I love the look of your wall.

A little of both. ;)

The Novatron lights I had borrowed from school also helped me to get enough light at night as to not have a blurry pic.

The wall color is called Desert Boot. The room was blue before I moved in. Walls were pre-plastered like that or whatever since the house was built.
