Treeckcold57 Jun 25, 2010 11:30 PM

You have a uber rig, but sorry, you should fix your cable management! :p

Trunks0 Jun 26, 2010 01:05 AM

Noctua NH-U12P  :D. You made an error installing it though. Grab that big box it came in and take a look at the packet that held the fan clips. Yup, you forgot to put in the silicone vibration isolation strips :p

Thats what meh PC looks like in the dark. Yea, the camera sucks in low light depending on the setting. Don't feel like re-taking it.

Its not worth re-taking it. Its going to be replaced by another mainboard soon enough since DFI decided not to do their own BIOS modifications to their LANParty line to add support for the X6s.
AND I am not on the PC you see in the picture. I am about 8 miles away from it.

demo Jul 3, 2010 09:51 PM

So I finally got around to fixing up my messy cables, but I cant find my camera to show off :(

I need to post more pics of my rig. I'm so happy with my first serious attempt at cable management :D . However, have to give most of the appreciation to the case :(

thedoug Jul 14, 2010 08:51 PM

I remember when you were putting together your Q6600 system ??? Now you built another kick ass rig and i'm still waiting, i'm not nearly as diehard as i used to be.

Oh yeah, nice rig, always cool when someone shares. :)

Finally replaced my nearly 4 year old iMac, this time with a Mini. The processor isn't much of a jump, and the HDD is probably a slight step backwards. But with 8GB of RAM and a graphics chip that's actually *supported* it runs circles around the iMac for my needs.

Figured it was a good thing I didn't get rid of my ~7 year old Cinema Display. Unfortunately my purchased HD video content no longer plays on it, appears as a black window with an HDCP message - looks like I'm in the market for a new 22" - 24" IPS LCD.

The ebay destined iMac it replaced-

glad you like your purchase. I myself could never justify buying that.

Needing OSX and a decent non-uberglossy display, my options came down to a Mini or a Mac Pro tower. Can't quite afford the Xeon based tower.

Can always use software to by-pass HDCP. I know it is doable on PC, it would not surprise me if it can be done on OSX as well.

If you do end up getting a new monitor I recommend steering away from another horribly overpriced mac ones.
