I wish that bioware had done a better job with the launcher on PC, you should not have to sit through all those splash screens when you click the resume button, the game should just launch and put you where you left off.

Ask and you shall receive.

I guess that is an improvement, now someone just has to get rid of the press any key screen.

You know, these "Press START to start" have

Z E R O

ZEEEEEROOOOOO

place in PC Land. When you see that, you know its origin.

Sure, historically games would have an attract mode, but these ain't that. And, sure, it makes you commit to controller action safe in you hands before starting it so your dog, your leg, the floor etc accidently hitting buttons but... man. And, sure some systems were soslow to load you could take a dump and comeback to 95%. Byt not today...

FS2020 did that at first too, until a massive uproar from the community convinced them to remove the "press a button to start" BS.

Are they... advetising the game in the patch notes? Thats... ****ing stupid.

KAC May 18, 2021 10:21 AM

Started this. ME1 looks good. Playing first time as female shepherd.

JohnnyFlash May 18, 2021 11:17 AM

The updated ground textures in the new patch are very nice. The view on X57 in general is impressive.

I agree, good buy, loving replaying these updated games.

Dungeoncrawler May 18, 2021 11:35 AM

 the game fov set to 100 with the mod is rather jarring during battles. Causes some slight disorientation for me :(

Mangler May 31, 2021 10:40 AM

I forgot how bad the planet scanning is with m&kb, y u no fix bioware?

It's 100% better with a gamepad, but something as simple as letting wasd have the same function as the second analogue stick would basically fix the pc controls.

Because fixing things from mass 1 was never the intention. They just wanted unify the three games so the console players could have their cover shooter games.

Just finished my 100% run of ME1, very happy with the experience and man the lighting and texture upgrades make a difference in the final parts of the game. Also, only had one glitch over the whole 45 hours.

Personally, I would have paid $60 just for the first in hindsight. Now on to ME2.

Megaman Jun 24, 2021 10:19 PM

Steam Summer Sale has this at under $75 AUD. Not sure if I should just grab it or finish off another 3 games before purchasing.

If you haven't played them, or if you liked them the first time I would go for it.

Megaman Jun 29, 2021 05:36 AM

Yeah I picked it up, however I can't start it as it redirects me to Origin to activate it using the product code. I purchase this via Steam and neither will start it. What's the go?

Was I supposed to receive a key?

Steam is linked to my EA account.

EDIT: what ever, refunded

acroig Jun 29, 2021 07:07 AM

Oh bummer! Here's an Origin direct key for $39 USD, that should work.

Agreed. Our group of friends use them to measure how we're doing and compete with one another.

Weird that you had that issue, Origin opens for me when I start the game but no issues outside of that. Just hit launch on steam and go.
