Added ceiling fan to cool down burning hot NB heatsink, the CPU was running cool but NB temps were somewhere above 70º I think. The fan is running @5V so it's inaudible:


I also added power button so I don't have to use screwdriver to boot it up anymore:

I had one like that. Used it for a very long time. Never really knew why, other than it worked well, and I liked the feel of it. It eventually took a dump. Never was able to find another one quite like it.

Then I found the Ultra X, and Ive been in love since. :D

I do have a fancy bluetooth keyboard and mouse (not shown in pic) kit sitting in the closet, but their too big for my lil' desk. Also the feel of the keys on the "crappy" keyboard feel more natural than the soft keys on the BT MS keyboard.

What's wrong with an old school keyboard? I'm using an IBM keyboard with a PS/2 connector. By my guess, that keyboard is probably 10 years old and I like it more than the new keyboards for FPS games.

Using dual Gateway 22" WS-LCD's. Primary display is used for internet/gaming/media. Secondary display is used for media/internet/chat. PS3 is hooked up to the primary LCD through component, and is being displayed through PIP right now so I can show all sources at once. I usually run it fullscreen of course at 720P. I have an HD-DVR box under the desk and is being run to the secondary LCD via component and is displayed at 720P either fullscreen or PIP like in the image. I usually watch TV via PIP while having chat windows up like I've shown here. I have all the extra audio sources run through a 4way audio selector behind the left front speaker, then it goes into an adapter and of course uses a 1/8" jack to the audio in on the Audigy 2. My work laptop is there in case I actually decide to get some "work" done. Sometimes I have the Xbox360 hooked up here as well so I can play games or watch HD-DVD's, but I haven't played it in ages and we all know how well the HD-DVD stuff is going...

Anyway, that's my setup as is right now. I will never go back to a single monitor again. :drool:

Nice screens. Have one myself (assuming FPD2185W) and sure would like a second one instead of the 930B I'm currently using as a 2nd screen. :up:

@QB2K5: You should remove the ASUS supplied fan from the board......those fans are optional and really are only recommended if you are using water cooling blocks as they can screw up the airflow in the case.

Also, any particular reason you put the video card in one of the lower PCI-E slots? Just curious..................
