Yes i did, due to the TRUE-120 it didnt fit, so i flipped it to the outside. works just as good :D

Added a sound card and maybe a hard drive plus hid a couple more wires since i last posted a pic... blew out the cobwebs today so i took a couple snaps of the insides.

I dont remember how long ago I posted mine but Ive moved since... the speakers are no longer up there, I moved them to the living room and connected them to my PS3. But everything else is basically the same

Paint your walls and get a faceplate for that outlet.

Screw the walls, but damn it man are you nuts? Cover that outlet up. :nuts:

You come paint my walls and its a done deal. Knocked the face plate off long ago and never felt like puttin it back. Been like that for months and its probably not going to change.

Faceplate is a buck or less, worth the time and effort to protect from accidental electrocution or damage to your nice equipment, or even just the hassle of having to reset a breaker.

I thought it was bad to bend SATA cables?

I`ve never had a problem yet, theres a drawer full of cables so i`m not to worried, maybe if you crimp one though.

smooth bends are ok. Kinked bends are teh bad.

So, coiled ftw.

I hate the look of coiled, myself. Prefer to fold them like they do for shipping. But to each his own!

Why would you want pig-tails? It actually takes up more space, and as a result is more noticeable than straight cables.

The length of the cables coiled up is shorter than when straight, meaning you dont have the SATA cables snaking around everywhere. I think that's what the fascination with that method is. I personally like the way it looks too.

With all the servers you mess with and all the extensive knowledge you have thats all? I would expect a guy like you to have some dark creepy basement with a few Cray mainframes and cluster servers. So everytime you enter your basment with your lab coat and switch on the power, you scream," its alive, ha ha ha".:D

Holy dust! Shows up really well in an HDR. :lol: Also, my first HDR image. :bleh: Didn't really turn out that great. I have no idea what I'm doing during the process.

Yup, glossy screen and HDMI (along with VGA, DVI, Composite, S-Video and Component) They are pretty nice monitors. Good black levels, 92% Wide color gamut, 3ms response time and I've yet to notice any ghosting. The model that I have (FHD2400) has been discontinued, though you should be able to find refurbished units online; bought my second refurbished from tigerdirect for $280.

I went to page 1 by accident and it's an interesting progression of crts to 4:3 lcds and then ws lcds. Also pc insides went from tiny heatsinks on the cpu and lots of free molex and ide around to huge towers and no ide nor molex.

This thread needs more CRT love.

It's going to be 2009 in a couple weeks.;)
