I tried with my friend, and we stuck it out (we're both big SW fans), but without him I would have turned it off very quick.

Was that ever a sore point for us kids back then as I couldnt understand why we had to settle for a 20" B&W tv when my grandparents had a giant wood console color tv I think was 28" since the late 60's.

Our first color tv was in '81 IIRC. Zenith.
