So this is basically the 266.35 set with the WHQL badge ?
Not to keen on these drivers, I get frequent black screens and freezes especially in conjunction with high AA settings.

You have problems *with these drivers*, or with the 266.35's which you presume to be the same?

Another quality post

Ego Jan 18, 2011 10:25 AM

I'm not "presuming" anything, I was just asking a question, hence the question mark at the end of the sentence.
If it's the same set of drivers (which is obviously unconfirmed but plausible since the release notes are identical) I'll just wait for the next revision.
And yes, my problems are with the .35 set.

Hapatingjaky Jan 18, 2011 10:33 AM

These drivers a very much different then the 266.35. They fix the AA bug, and a slew of other bugs, aswell as some performance increases. Thread over at Guru3d and Nvidia Forums seems pretty positive. Some are already saying that this is the best driver release yet.

Won't hold my breath though, installed them here on my notebook and I am awaiting the usual crash unless I am running a 3D App, and I have yet to test Nvidia Surround Stuttering that appeared in the 265.xx driver and up.

Funny you would correct me for not seeing your question mark, what's that thing at the end of my first post? A QUESTION MARK.

moshpit Jan 18, 2011 11:35 AM

Wait, wasn't this the thread for linking to threads about driver releases, not about driver releases themselves? I actually started a seperate thread about 266.58 because I didn't know this thread has changed from it's OP purpose and was now where new drivers are being announced. That doesn't make much sense, actually. How about we keep making new threads for new drivers and link to them here, like Acroig tried to do originally?

Ego Jan 19, 2011 11:37 AM

Back on topic, the AA bug seems to be fixed in the newest revision. I've played Just Cause 2 for about an hour with no problems; on the .35 set I couldn't get past 10 minutes if the AA value was higher than 4x.

Shaidar, my bad :)
You have a very...uhm, direct way of saying things, so the first thing that came to mind was it was my turn to have acid spat in my face :)
My bad again.

Thank you for confirming and reporting! I look forward to trying out these new drivers myself.

No worries bro, I am direct as you said and it is hard to interpret tone, I often react the same way.

I don't think they're any different then 266.58 WHQL except to put GTX 560, 570 and 580 all under a single WHQL driver. Don't think there's any actual improvements.

Gone, for some reason.

I downloaded before they took away the link but I believe they have been uploaded. They're not only for the 5XX series because they installed certified for my GTX 470.

GanjaStar Mar 1, 2011 10:27 AM

267.24 beta drivers

It adds 3D Vision support for Bulletstorm, SLI support for Homefront, improves compatibility with Dragon Age II, and fixes an issue preventing Nvidia Control Panel access on the Windows Desktop.

Serotonin Mar 1, 2011 10:32 AM

So let me get this straight, they added sli support for homefront, a game not out yet, but still haven't added sli support for bulletstorm, a game that's been out.

Ego Mar 1, 2011 10:54 AM

While I appreciate the Bulletstorm support, I sure hope there's more profiles in that driver; TDU 2 comes to mind.

its not there. still have to manually add testdrive2.exe.

Ego Mar 1, 2011 01:06 PM

Yeah, but that doesn't help with the locked convergence setting :(

Not that I can see. AFAIK, there's no 3d stereo option in NV Inspector.

GanjaStar Mar 2, 2011 07:00 AM

that sucks, you should problaby request that feature from the guy :)

anyways

There are some Stereo 3d registry settings in the elevated aspect of inspector.

There's some new betas out on Guru 3D: 267.46

The release notes are identical to the previous betas.

Haven't tried them, but if can anyone test if there's any improvement in Dragon Age 2 DX11 it would be great
