KAC's is still worse.

shrike126 Jan 14, 2022 04:31 PM

I have some cable management to do still. And a bunch of art to put up on the wall (we just moved in November).

That’s a proper man cave.

Not my fault manufacturers cheap out on the frame stiffeners. Them 3080's need some cross-members. :bleh:

I think you fail to understand just how massive these cards are lol

Silent-Runner Jan 17, 2022 01:48 AM

i'm surprised you can work on that pc sitting that close to this giant monitor, Shrike126. Otherwise a nice, clean setup.

That's almost everyone these days. I don't get it.

I will have my monitor pushed to the back edge of my desk and my keyboard served to me on a pull out tray for as long as I am able to.

It works pretty well. It's like having a regular ultrawide monitor, that's just taller. But you don't have to use all of the screen all of the time.

You don't have to.

Thank you. Some work left to do but I'm having fun with it already.

Lazy8s Jan 18, 2022 08:33 AM

Looking good shrike

What brand is that chair? I like it, and need a new one.

Where’s the PS5? :runaway:

Silent-Runner Jan 18, 2022 09:07 AM

looks like a Wafting, my wife has a very similar one, a Aiidoits.

Lazy8s Jan 18, 2022 09:28 AM

I’ll check those out, thanks Silent-runner!

shrike126 Jan 18, 2022 12:52 PM

That looks really close. It's actually an Autonomous ErgoChair that Sara picked up a while back and then swapped with me when she stole my chair after a move. But it looks almost identical to that chair Silent shared.

logical Jan 18, 2022 01:19 PM

I was going to buy that ergo chair but the only thing holding me back is that I want a mesh seat.

I don't notice not having the mesh cushion as much as I thought I would. And the mesh seats are pricier. But yeah, if I had it to do over again I'd probably hold out and buy a seat with a mesh cushion.

Lazy8s Jan 18, 2022 02:05 PM

Nice, thanks Shrike.

oof, yours is 549 bucks (if i saw that right)? Really? The one my wife has was around 150 bucks :hmm: I've never seen a complete mesh one, but my guess would be it's very pricey, also i'm not sure if that would be very comfy if used over a longer period of time.

Actually, no it was closer to $300 when we bought this one.

This is from the receipt. I had to look it up. It was free shipping at the time.

ULTRATRON38 Jan 20, 2022 09:13 AM

As we all know, parts are pretty hard to come by these days. My main work and stock research system is the newer white Thermaltake I posted a while ago. I switched out the cooler for a Scythe where one of the fans spins in reverse.

My main main gaming system that was in the Kandalf is now THIS! It has an Intel i9 9900k, the original cooler from the white Thermaltake and the hard to find PONY RTX 3080! Case is the Corsair Vengeance. Enjoy this slick and badass system!

KAC Jan 20, 2022 08:19 PM

Ultra gay. You finally got a decent rig going.

Yes, Kuc.. but I've hardly run it this past year.. as I've been busy and using my secondary system most of the time. Figured I'd "save" the best equipment in this sparse environment.

Suppose it's probably time to get a new game and put the 3080 through its paces. I heard BF2142 sucks, so maybe Halo Infinite & Doom Eternal or whatever version of Call of Duty is the most popular these days?

Anyone have any ideas.. feel free to suggest. I've been out of the gaming loop since Battlefield V.

Megaman Jan 20, 2022 08:47 PM

Cyberpunk,RDR2, metro exodus enhanced edition, far cry 6, God of War…..

demo Jan 20, 2022 09:23 PM

"Kuc"...

This guy is a classic. Nice rig ultra 👌

Kain Jan 21, 2022 02:28 AM

Where's the AGP graphics card?

ULTRATRON38 Jan 21, 2022 12:06 PM

Thank you all ..& also for any future comments & suggestions. Far Cry 6 looks interesting.

& as a matter of fact.. one of my first AGP video cards was indeed a Pony, which is why I decided on said brand for the 3080 RTX.

Until next time!

Gays. Apparently the Lian Li cables are toast. So will install the regular cables tomorrow. Also hands down the worst case to build in due to such limited space in the back for cables. Was a nightmare. Should’ve gone with XL.

Some interim pics.

logical Jan 29, 2022 02:32 PM

I had no issues with space in the back. Did you take out the cage thing back there to make it easier?

KAC Jan 29, 2022 02:39 PM

Yes but I have 2 SSDs on it. I think once I take out the strimmer cables it might be better.

Megaman Jan 29, 2022 04:04 PM

What’s with the gap on the first pic, pink fan , bottom right?

Also, needs more RGB

Any pics of her without makeup? Day light pics?

demo Jan 29, 2022 06:47 PM

Interesting air flow configuration..

KAC Jan 29, 2022 08:33 PM

Lots to fix in the morning. This was just a trial run to see if I installed everything correctly.

Case is open due to mining. I just need to exit the heat out of the system.

KAC Jan 30, 2022 12:19 AM

Fixed cables. Added the missing screw. Did some better cable management. Son did the lighting.

acroig Jan 30, 2022 08:07 AM

Son has good taste, lighting looks very good.

KAC Jan 30, 2022 08:36 AM

It's cyberpunk theme. He also did it for mouse and keyboard :).
